Nice to use
🖋️A pack of 8 oil based pens 🖋️They have the typical smell you would expect from oil based pens like this 🖋️The pens need priming before use - there sounds like there is a decent size ball-bearing to mix the paint in the pens 🖋️Good pigmentation - very bright colours 🖋️The pens can bleed through onto other surfaces so do make sure to put something underneath the surface you are working on 🖋️These work well on a range of surfaces 🖋️They also feel nice to hold

Average experience overall
Pros - ball inside is very obviously loud and noticeable - colours are pretty saturated - easy to use Cons - just not the best feel for me personally - nothing really indicating pigments - definitely coated around the plastic in some chemical I don't personally like the feel of these nibs when using. I can't put my finger on why but it just doesn't feel fluid enough. There's no pigment information so you don't know whether you need to be careful or not. There is a very pungent smell and when you pick them out of the cardboard packaging, you can feel a chemical on the wrapping. As for the colours, they're bright enough, seem to be thick enough in most cases as well. Yellow is the typical yellow when it comes to laying down. For casual use or for projects where you just want to try ideas they're reasonable. But It's not the best experience I've had personally and I do think there's better options out the for anything that might require a more professional finish.

These oil-based markers work very well, once you take in mind some of the suggestions, that I will list, and suggest that be added to the initial instructions: 1.Once you receive them, store the whole package, tip side down, for an hour, or two, after you receive them, so that; 2.When you VIGOROUSLY shake them, it is actually mixing the ingredients. Otherwise, depending on what position they were in, before you received them, the ingredients could be partially mixed, and (from experience) one may work better than the other, 3. There should be better "quality control" from the factory, to shipping. Reason: The first thing that I had to do, once I opened the package, was to THOROUGHLY inspect each pen, and the plastic wrapping around each one. I did this, because there was a VERY STRONG, lingering smell/vapors of the "paint ingredients" even before I unwrapped any of them", so I thought that one may have leaked. Fortunately, after my "elimination process" it turned out to be residual chemicals on the outside of the plastic that each pen is sealed in. 4. You should press the tip (according to their process, or when you figure out what works best, for you), you should do the "get more ink" thing until you hear a subtle "click". THAT IS A VERY IMPORTANT, left out tip, because, at first, I followed the instructions, without it, and thought that it had just ran out of ink. They are worth ordering, though. They can be used as fine tip, once the above is followed, and you get used to them.

I got these for my hobby which is scale car models. I use pens like this all the time for finer work that a brush just can't do perfectly. Each pen is sealed, so my only concern is once you use a pen, how long before it dries out. For now, I can tell you the colors are very rich and they lay down easily, no streaking and the dib doesn't catch the color and drag it too. Definitely can recommend these pens!

I make beaded jewelry. I have a collection of metal finding that I wanted to add some color to so that they better match whatever piece I'm working on. I picked up these markers so that I wouldn't have to deal with the mess of paints in a small space or the clean up. And I'm really happy with the results. There is a bit of a learning curve to using these. First they require a bit of prepping. First shake them really well. Then press the tip down on a scrap of paper (I put a plastic baggie under it) I bunch of times (the tip disappears into the main part of the marker) so that it gets loaded with the pain. Once you see the color on the tip, you can use it. It went on smoothly and dried fairly quickly. I got a bit on a part of the metal that I didn't want and it wiped off well with a small piece of paper towel. Next time, I'll have Q-Tips instead for cleaner work. It dried semi-glossy. Definitely happy with my purchase as it was also a good buy for the price.
