Very fragile wood, have had it for very long and it's already snapped. At the base. Easy to assemble just breaks fairly easily.Update: Customer Service ended up reaching out to me and gave me a refund. Might as well try getting another one and maybe I just got defective product

My little girl has stomach cancer, and i needed a non-cardboard scratcher/bed i could wash. Compact without being too small. Pictured is the standard large with a 10 pound cat. This is a great price for a great item. Comes together in 5 minutes - hardware and tool comes with it.

My Maine Coon loves his new scratching area bed. And this one doesn't leave a mess like the last one did. The cardboard was stopping up my vacuum.

Well, It's been 3 days now since I received it, put it together and rubbed with catnip (as I do with anything else new I give to my kitty). She is used to the cardboard variety, but they were getting expensive since she is quite large, so I have to look for the bigger ones. Found one my old cat loved, but it used to last that kitty 3-4 months, and this one, I'm replacing every other month.So I thought this would be worth the investment, since after that, I only have to replace the sisal mat occasionally. I know some cats LOVE this material, but by day 3, she seemed lethargic...maybe a little depressed? She needed to scratch! So I turned the L-shaped cardboard scratcher upside down so it makes a little tunnel. Then I placed it beside the new sisal scratcher. She actually went inside the tunnel of the cardboard scratcher and started scratching. Then she checked out the new sisal scratcher again and settled into it for awhile as a "test nap".Now she's taking a little before-dinner cat nap in her little chair, which is just a child's upholstered chair that I recovered with a slipcover. Took her awhile to get used to that too, but now she loves it. The new scratcher may just end up to be another napping place, but that's OK. It would have been nice to get rid of the cardboard fragments, but it looks like that ain't happening any time soon! At least she's building trust in the new "thing" in her space.To the seller/manufacturer: Thank you for the detailed instructions and complete tools! The screwdriver was a nice touch too. I actually tried it out and ended up using my own, but not everyone has tools!Over all, good quality product, easy to put together, and quite attractive. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone whose cat is hooked on cardboard, or you could just give your kitty a cardboard box until he/she gets used to it. ;)

My kitten really enjoys lounging on this. When she’s not using it as a daybed, this is one of her favorite things to sharpen her claws on. I like the way it looks and it’s easy to assemble.

Very frustrating to put together. This should have taken less than 5 minutes to put together, but instead it took like 2 hours of me trying to makeshift the pieces into working with each other. For some reason, one of the wooden planks had different sized holes for the screws to go into, meaning that plank was essentially useless. I tried digging out the holes to make them bigger but nothing worked. In order to put the planks together, you’re given two plaques to screw into each plank side and because the holes were too small for the plaque, I ended up having to duct tape one side and it’s flimsy and awkward. But my cat still loves it regardless. This should have been an easy assembling process and it should’ve turned out how it was made to be, but I don’t know if Amazon just messed up on the pieces or the manufacturer.

Very nice quality. Beautiful once you put it together but my picky cat WILL NOT GO NEAR IT :( So sad, had to return
