Love Deep Fried Chicken
I love to deep fry food in Crisco shortening. The temperature is perfect for frying chicken One caution ⚠️ always make sure any water in the food especially potatoes is drained or there will be a boil over and a huge mess. I learned this when I used a deep fryer years ago

still works great
I remember one of these when we were younger. I have a larger one but it takes almost a gallon of oil and that just gets expensive to make a meal. I made some tater tots in this the other night they worked really well came up the temperature, cooked them nice and golden brown. Unit was easy to clean also.

Handy for lake or beach house fish fries
This is a perfect size fryer for small portions. Doesnt require a lot of oil. Heats up fast. Easy clean up. This is my second one. I had to replace because I put the plastic cover on my first one before it was completely cooled down. It melted the lid. User error. Lesson wait for the fryer to completely cool before covering.

Revised- Plastic needs to be removed from the pot (Coating MELTED onto my food)
REVISED - There is a plastic coating in the barrel of this pot. REMOVE IT before you cook. There is nothing in the instructions that tells you this, and it looks like it is part of the pot. Just take your knife and remove it.Second thing - this pot gets too hot for some things. Tortillas burn before you can get to them. I am going to put in a thermometer and temper the heat by adding drizzles of fresh oil. We shall see. For the price its worth itThird thing - people complain about no lid. I am using a splatter screen over it, and cooking with it outside on my stainless steel table. All good.Original Post - NO!!! The ceramic coating MELTED onto my food. Unbelievable. Horrible. I used as instructed. DO NOT BUY/

Love it!
My old Friday daddy had an accident. I got this to replace it. So far I haven’t used it, but it looks great, I’ve had this one in the past and it’s worked great as well.

Great Little Fryer That Gets the Job Done
I’ve used the Presto FryDaddy several times now and it’s been surprisingly efficient for its size. It heats up quickly and maintains a consistent temperature which is perfect for small batches of fries, chicken tenders, or even homemade donuts. The oil usage is minimal compared to a full-size fryer and the nonstick surface makes cleanup much easier than I expected. It’s compact enough to store easily in a cabinet and simple to operate since there’s no temperature control to worry about. One thing to keep in mind is that it doesn’t have a lid for cooking, only a snap-on lid for storage which isn’t meant for hot oil. Also, since there’s no basket, you’ll need tongs or a slotted spoon to remove food which can be a little messy. Still, for the price and the size, it’s hard to beat the convenience and simplicity of this fryer. Definitely a solid pick for quick frying jobs without the hassle of a larger appliance.

Simple and effective
Not as versatile as the multi-cooker version, but it's easier to use if you just want a fryer. It's small but adequate for two people. You can probably get a lot more food in at once, but the oil will cool down too much.
