Usually Fantastic Basil ...
I buy this fresh basil all the time. It is lovely and fresh and just like the Waitrose large bunch which I have found I cannot buy anywhere else. However, the last time I bought this several days ago, I received the thai variety of basil in the packet. A completely different basil with an aniseed type flavour, great for oriental dishes but not pasta. The packet stated it was from Spain. I'm going to buy this again in the hope it was packaged wrongly since it is always a staple in my cupboard. Do try it, usually it's great!
