YARRAH Organic Dog Food Vega Chunks - For Dogs that have Difficulty Digesting Animal Proteins - With Organic Soya Beans and Cranberries - Recommended for Dogs from 1 Year Old - 2 kg

My dogs have been plant based since January this year and on this food for most of that time. My older dog, Boo, suffers with pancreatitis which can be triggered by eating something she shouldn’t or just really rich food. She hasn’t had any episodes since being on this food. She is also prone to weight gain and easily fluctuates in weight which then triggers a skip in her rear leg, her weight is perfectly managed with this food and she’s stayed the same since being on it and her leg hasn’t skipped since. My younger dog, Buzz, also started getting a skip in his rear leg, but since being on this food, he hasn’t had it either. They really like this food, but they will really eat anything, they’re scavengers but I’m happy knowing they’re still healthy, they’ve got loads more energy and will walk as far as we ask them to. We recently walked up more steps than the Empire State Building while walking the Jurassic coast and they still had bundles of energy at the top! I wanted to put them on a vegan diet, partly because of the animal cruelty aspect, but also because I didn’t like that the animal meat that is bad for humans (having cancer cut out of the meat etc) is also being given to our pets. I also read that the oldest dog in the UK was vegan, so if it makes them live longer that’s an added bonus!

I bought them primarily because I didn't want to feed my dog with 'meat scraps' that are not suitable for human consumption (inform yourself where the meat in the commercialized dog food comes from!!). I would not give my dog anything that I would not eat myself, hence I opted for a meat-free diet also for him.Besides the reasons, I found this dog food to be full of nutrients and with more protein than usual dog food, especially important for an active dog! What has been a surprise is that his breath is a lot better after eating plant-based dry food than when he eats the normal Pedigree one. I tried to switch it a couple of times to test this theory and it really works.So if your pup has problems with bad breath, I really recommend this purchase!

All I can say is that the dog does not have a problem with it and I mix it in with her other food. If I offer it to the two dogs as a Kibble treat they're not terribly impressed but then it's good for them it seems so hey ho. A bit difficult to rate any of the factors for dog food which is a high quality given that we don't really know what are dogs feel and think about the food we give them . Hence that 4-star rating

Our dog used to be constantly scratching we saw reviews saying that Yarrah could help prevent itching and started feeding it. He has stopped scratching has an amazing coat lots of energy and loves his food though saying that he will eat anything. I add a small amount of fresh meat to his meals. No foul poos either.

My dog has a very sensitive tummy to the point that I had to give up on kibbles and swap for raw food. She's also very fussy with her food! Being a vegan I would like to give her some cruelty free food. Tried this one and mix it with the meat for now, she's eating it and her tummy is absolutely fine. Going for the second pack now and looking to increase the dose and decrease the meat.

Dog liked this, but with the price rise it is not worth it, swoped to V Dog which my dog likes even more and it is some what cheaper.

My dog (toy poodle) likes these biscuits and is her usual healthy and active self since I bought them for her. She has very few and small teeth (due to problems in the past) but just about manages to eat these. At first I soaked them in water to make it easier for her but now she can just eat them as they are. But she is a special case if your dog has normal dental health then they will have no problems. They lasted her about 3 months, although I also feed her (dog safe) leftovers from dinner so they are not all that she eats.

Dog loves this and she’s looking very healthy after a couple of months changing to vegan diet. Thriving! It’s so tasty that the cat eventries to steal it!
