Great strings as always, you can pay more for similar but these have never let me down even when hard playing just one problem and the fault is mine I bought ball end instead of loop, so I will have to go buy a banjo that uses ball end lol any excuse init much to my better half's disgust 😬 🫣 I know i could send them back but like I said any excuse banjo number six on the horizon 😀

I ordered the phosphor bronze strings a few months ago but have only just got to change them - only the black ended string, the 4th D was bronze... Is that normal or have I been charged more for only one string that is actually bronze the rest are the cheaper version so it'll sound strange when I play? Very sad I didn't check sooner :(

Amazon is wonderful because I'm always working during the hours Long and McQuaid are open and I can never make it in. These D'Addario strings are ball end, which was a happy mistake. I'm used to loop end, so it's what I was buying for no particular reason. Ball end is way more convenient and works fine with a Lyle tail piece. These strings sound lovely and are affordable even for the cheapest of banjo pickers.
