These female to female adapters are truly a lifesaver when you have a need for a log cord and don't have one. Just plug another cable onto the other and voila! Now you have a cable long enough to do the job, without have to buy a really log (i.e. expensive) cable.

As my subject line indicates, female to female RCA input adapters are often overlooked because quite frankly, they are not needed in most audio situations.However, there are times when converting to various other accessories come into play, and then of a sudden you find yourself looking for something like this. My review/evaluation here is based on the fact that I wanted to convert a balanced signal coming from an XLR cable to an unbalanced RCA cable. To do that, I first had to connect a XLR to RCA adapter (which had XLR inputs on one end, and a male RCA output on the other end. That adapter was a short device. I then realized that in order to connect an RCA cable to that adapter, I needed a female to female RCA adapter - wallaaaaa, therefore the need arose for one.When you look for these female to female RCA adapters on the web, you will come across a ton of them, many of them priced very cheaply and in some cases you can get a dozen of them for just $9.99. But what about the quality of these little devices?After searching the lengthy list of these devices on Amazon, I came across this Devinal female to female RCA adapter, which is the subject of this review. It was priced a bit higher than the others, but still exceptionally reasonable. The product photos showed it to be of higher quality, so I ordered a pair. When they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see an exceptionally high quality (well constructed and beautifully appearing) pair of gold-plated adapters. Note: What you get in person is of much higher quality than the product photos seem to convey. It was obvious that these were well constructed and very good-looking adapters. They even come packaged in an attractive looking zip lock bag.Sound-quality-wise, I couldn't discern any audio differences and the RCA male ends fit firmly inside the adapters. I plan on ordering a few more sets because you never know when you are going to need them, and they also come beautifully packaged. Ignore the multitude of other female to female RCA adapters that you see on Amazon and eBay and just order these Devinal ones - they are well worth the extra few dollars.

The adaptors grab the mini-stereo plugs very well, so there's little risk of them dropping out, and the conductivity is extremely good. You won't get a crackle-crackle by twisting the connector while sounds are playing. So far, resistant to the acids in the atmosphere (unlike some of the aluminum connectors on the back of my stereo).

I had a 100' speaker cable. I needed two rus of about 130'. These allowed me to use my existing cables and not have to shell out the $$$$$ for 150' cables. Worked fine, with no loss of sound quality.

Well made with great tolerances so they do not try to fall out.

Used one of these to connect from the soundboard to the church nursery and play audio on standard computer speakers—worked perfectly with no sound issues. I only needed one, but the pack was cheap enough that having extras as backups was worth it.

I needed longer wires and these did the trick.

Nice solid click when receiving TRS plugs. Have not loosened or broken after months of use
