25 inch Universal Fit Retractable Shade Auto Windshield Sunshade Silver Reflective - Easy Storage for Trucks, Most SUVs

This shade is in a class its own. I gave messing with the "folding" removable sunshades years ago. They're cheap but better described as "disposable" than "folding"; they take up too much space and are really awkward to put in place every time they need to be used and most are of poor quality and quickly tear or the hems become loose. This is double the price but more than worth the extra cost - it's is made of much higher quality material than any I've seen before. The installation instructions are excellent -clear and intelligent- and it takes only a few minutes to get this installed in place. It's unobtrusive when retracted and takes up no appreciable space. Unlike other shades, this is one that I'll use every time I have need of it and it looks sturdy enough to last for years.

This is my third retractable windshield sunshade. One went with the car when I traded, and I just wore the other one out. It is easy to install and use. You reach across the car and pull it over to the clip. I usually pull my visors down, which blacks out the windshield entirely. The previous one lasted seven years. I am expecting that or more out of this one. It's so much easier than having to wrestle one of the collapsible screens and covers more of the windshield.

I absolutely love this product. I’ve now purchased it three times, for my three vehicles. Takes up minimal space so it doesn’t impede my vision, and because it’s directly in front of me I never forget to slide it into place once I park. It extends and retracts well, and blocks all sun from the window shield. I cannot attest to keeping the car cool as I live in New Orleans and everything is hot here, but it’s absolutely perfect.

I don't think these kind of materials are quite as effective as foil sun screens for keeping out the heat, but since they are so easy to use, you are more likely to put them in place when needed.The hook can be troublesome for fat fingers---I'd recommend not stalling it too close to the window edge.

This is our 4th sunshade purchase in six years, 3 times for separate vehicles and 1 gift. They do an amazing job as advertised. IMO most the complaints on here are from non-handy people.Complaint 1, the strings break. Uh, yeah! Eventually UV will eat them. I replace them with premium upholstery thread when this happens. It's not that hard if understand how springs/retraction works (like a tape measure).Complaint 2, it doesn't fold back right. Uh, yeah! Sometimes it will buckle as it's an 18-26 inch pleated piece of fabric. So, just pull it back and let it retract again. I will say, it is MUCH EASIER to clip closed when it's warm and flimsy. So, leaving it extended in the spring/fall overnight will require you to squeeze it a couple times to make it click tight.Complaint 3, the clips fall off. Uh, yeah! Because you suck at following instructions. Clean the glass, wipe off the residue, set clips, press clips firmly against the to maximize surface contact, remove sunshade from the clips for a 24 hours. I installed one for a friend THREE TIMES but only because he kept cracking and replacing his windshield. The clips never came off the windshield even when shattered.Complaint 4, the little tab that hooks it open broke off. This has happened ONCE and nothing a little jb weld didn't permanently fix.So, as long as they are available we will keep buying them for our vehicles.

Incredibly handy to have it attached to the windshield. It is positioned on the passenger side of the windshield. It does not block any view at all. In addition, you are never digging around and fighting with the folded ones. The reflective foil makes a noticeable difference in keeping the car cool.

Purchased this for one of our backup rately driven vehicles because I thought it was similar to a higher quality retractable sunshade I had on it that finally broke after 15 years of use. The spare vehicle used to be my everyday driver and I loved being able to just quickly pull the shade from one side to the other and clip it. This retractable sunshade was no where near the quality of the prior one, it’s very thin and flimsy, there’s no cut away to accomodate for the review mirror, didn’t retract tightly or all the way, and one of the mounting brackets has already broke. After trashing it I just put the standard fold away sunshade in that vehicle.

I have had my retractable shade for over a year and I live in the hot heat of Florida and I’ve not had a single problem! It works great and so easy to use. No more hassling with all the other stuff out there.
