Our son is 11 and this is perfect for him, and I'm sure it will last him well for many years. It's a solid, well constructed unit, with loads of storage space. We're particularly happy with the amount of room on the desk, and the amount of headspace above too. Many other beds we looked at, such as a similar unit at IKEA, has very little headroom under the bed, so you are forced to crouch. But this bed design gives plenty of space without needing to crouch. I'm glad we went with this design rather than the cheaper one from IKEA, as this unit offers so much more room, because of the higher headroom and the desk being at an angle so it's perfect for older kids and teenagers. You do need to have reasonably good DIY skills, or have good experience in building flatpack furniture. Two of the packages that the parts came in were extremely heavy, and actually took 3 people to lift. Our son's bedroom is upstairs, so we had to unpack the boxes and carry the individual part upstairs one-by-one, as it would not have been possible to carry those heavy packages up the stairs with two people. The assembly is similar to building IKEA furniture, but it was definitely harder in comparison. You do need to have reasonably good DIY skills to assemble the bed, as some sections can be confusing to build, particularly installing the draws, and connecting the main sections together was challenging for two people to try move, line up and connect such big sections together. Definitely take your time when doing the assembling, don't rush it, and check and double check the instructions, because it's easy to make a mistake which may cause damage to the unit if done wrong. I also recommend installing LED lights into the 3 holes under the bed, so it's easier for your child to work at their desk. I just pushed the lights into place. I didn't need to apply any glue or fixings, but I'm sure you can apply an adhesive if you wish. It took a total of 9 man hours to complete (mostly done by one person, while a second helped to hold or move sections), but don't let that put you off. It was definitely worth the time and effort, and now we have a bed that our son loves and will last him till his is a grown teenager. And best part is it has freed up so much extra space in his room to enjoy now.

I ordered this bed for one of my daughter as she has a small room, Its a good design and well thought out. She use to have a bunkbed that rattled and wobbled, this one is sturdy and quiet, its well worth the money I paid for it. Its a great solution for storage, sleeping and studying in a small room. I would highly recommend this bed. My daughter is super happy with it. I would have rated this bed five stars if it wasn't for the instructions. They are very small and hard to decipher. It takes along time, and a lot of tea to assemble, definitely a two man job, as was moving the boxes upstairs once they were delivered. The bed was delivered early (by a month) by one person. I had to help him unload the van, this was not a problem for me, but it could be for someone else. Summary - Awesome bed, a tad complicated to assemble.

this is a really good unit, my son is more than happy. I built it myself in 2 days. there was lots of sweat, some beers and a tiny bit of blood (my own clumsy fault). It did require some upper body strength to place the bed part on the top, however, this would be a lot easier with two people. customer service from the seller is outstanding, I cannot fault it. I had a few questions regarding the instructions, always friendly and happy to help. the only thing I would say that was negative was the instructions, they really need a rework. the instructions will tell you to place A1 onto B1 (for example), however none of the actual parts are labelled as such. Some of the images don't 100% match up with what you are looking at on your floor, but if you have put together flat-pack stuff in the past, you should be able to figure it out. if not email the seller, they will happily help. You do have to wait around a month for delivery, however if you read the description correctly, this should be expected. My came in 5 boxes, each is labled "1 of 5" "2 of 5" etc. I found the perfect size mattress in Ikea with the correct dimensions and not too tall. Overall my son is over the moon with this (im a little bit jealous myself). it feels very sturdy and safe. having the bed, wardrobe and desk built in one has freed up a lot of space in his room. I would highly recommend this

Bed isn't solid, cheaply made when tried to returned it because it came damaged will tell you that you will have to pay cost to send back which comes up to more then bed it's self comes with instructions but item is not labled up and expect all of your screws to be piled in one bag so you have to sort that . Made difficult to get refund to point you have to get intoch with bank he ignors bank leaving your child longer without bed as not everyone can wait for refund and pay for another one straight out had to get intouch with amazon itself to get this sorted because he ignored the bank and after that all done he will then try been all nice getting intouch with you when he's ignored you for weeks ignored bank not worth hassle definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND

Really pleased with this bed. Probably the only flat pack I've bought that came with no damage, it was well packaged and well made. It came in 5 boxes which were extremely heavy so I had to unpack downstairs and carry the parts upstairs individually. Construction took about 5-6 hours on my own, but definitely needed a second person to lift the bed onto the base (very heavy). I actually quite enjoyed putting it together, everything fitted together nicely and all holes lined up. The instructions aren't the clearest and it did involve a lot of careful studying, some steps had illustrations so small I could have done with a magnifying glass. Also, all the various sized screws, catches and pinning nails were together within a large bag; would have sped things up if they were bagged separately. These are only small gripes and once you get going, construction is quite satisfying. My son loves his new bed, extremely solid, no wobbling/creaking whist getting in or out. Loads of storage space and it's clear a lot of thought went into the design. There was excellent communication with the seller around delivery and he kept me updated at every stage. Overall, I am really pleased, a great product and makes his small room feel so much bigger.

Amazing !!! If you child has a small room then this is a must , the storage is unbelievable there’s plenty of hanging space Along with 4 good sized shelf’s and a huge shelf Above the hanging space . The desk is huge plenty of space for monitor, keyboard , mouse mat, lamp plus more. If your sat Reading the reviews and think should I risk it like I was then just do it this is the best money we’ve ever spent . Advice I’d give is when this arrives ( mines was 2 weeks earlier than expected ) unpack all the boxes and sort the pieces and fixtures the instructions are in one of the boxes and everything tho the parts aren’t marked the instructions are clear enough between myself and the hubby we had it up in a few hours . Mattress wise you will need a thin one and follow the size guide as a uk single is too big . My child loves this along with all of his mates they all want one .

2 of us have been working on assembling this bed for approximately 12 hours now and it is still not complete. Wardrobe doors are a nightmare. Most is now built and it is a very good looking sturdy bed when complete. Shame instructions were poor.
