Easy to attach - easy to run
I had been looking for a dash cam for a while for my husband. Working for the county he's out on the road a lot and I wanted something that could easily be moved from car to car. He had went from store to store looking at different options but never found something he was happy with. He's picky so he wasn't going to spend the extra money in the store with out doing his homework. Amazon came through for us. All the options he was wanting for a better price. I think I need to mess with the settings a bit to get the picture better, but all in all it works. License plates get fuzzier the farther away you are, but the make and model is clear. I love that you can set it to automatically start when it senses movement. The instructions were obviously translated from Chinese so you have to use a bit of creative thinking to understand what they meant in some cases. But ultimately I was able to figure it out.

Very low quality
I bought this dash cam assuming that the video quality was going to be decently clear. Going through the video controls I was surprised to see that you can select a 720p and 1080p option. I never bothered checking my recordings until I got a SD card reader. DO NOT BUY THIS DASH CAM After checking my recordings, I found that the night vision essentially didn't exist. It would only work if you could get whatever you wanted to record about 2 or 3 feet away from the camera. The video quality would be maybe 240p. You can't read any license plates. Night footage is pretty useless unless you are driving in well lit areas and daytime footage is only good to see whats is going on, you can't read anything. Do yourself a favor and buy a more expensive dash cam. Yes it will cost a lot but this is a perfect case of "you get what you pay for" I should also note that this would be better than no dash cam at all. It is not durable and the plastic screws break easily.

You Get What You Pay For
This is a cheap dash cam. It's cheap because it is cheaply made. You shouldn't really expect much out of it. For it's price, it works as it should, it records video, sits on your dash / attached to your windshield. The device has a really small field of view, which for being a dashcam doesn't really help much - you want something with a relatively wide angle so you can record cars coming on your left and right, not just cars coming from in front. The IR lights don't seem to illuminate anything, so while in night mode (which it doesn't auto-detect or anything, you have to manually switch it) it's just a dark video, really. You're only going to see what your lights illuminate. The menu operation for the device is ghastly, as it uses the few buttons it has as multipurpose buttons. It's not easy to deal with and feels wrong. Also the resolutions it lists in the device itself aren't the same as listed here on the amazon product page or in the device manual. Interestingly enough the device manual says it has an HDMI port, but it doesn't. The files the device makes are huge. Even at lower resolutions, the five minute videos are hundreds of megabytes, meaning with a 4gb card, you only get about an hours worth of recordings on a LOWER resolution. It's strange because upping the resolution to the highest level has about the same quality even though the resolution is higher, and the same file size. File structure is bad too, as I changed resolution of the device, and tried to download the videos and the card just had space that I couldn't access. It was near full but only showed one file that accounted for something like 5% of the card's total space. So, at 17 dollars, this camera is about what I would expect. It's not exceptional for it's price, it's pretty much exactly what one would expect for a cheap dash cam. Bad design, cheap quality, poor programming. I would probably recommend getting something more expensive if you really want to 'protect yourself' by having a video that's actually worth something when you get into an accident, as this will probably be too crappy / small angle to show anything worth your time.

Not bad, worth the price
Got two and installed them today. One in my truck, one in my wife's CRV. For the price you can't beat it and would be invaluable in a road rage incident or disputed accident. Instructions could be a little more detailed on how to set it but I like keeping it simple. No sound or time stamp for me (it has both), just record the video and I'm happy. I like the fact that it starts recording when I start the vehicle and stops when I shut it off. Get it set up and forget it. Tried to upload one of the videos from the laptop but was taking too long. Did attach a still pic for show of quality of what you're seeing.

Cool Cam!
At first, I wasn't sure if this would be a good fit for me but.. I LOVE IT! The outer body of the dash cam is light and sturdy which makes it easy to mount. The swivel on the camera rotates a lot and the menu for navigation the dash cam is pretty easy to use. I can also use an SD card with it for up to 32 GB and lock files on the SD card, so I don't delete them accidentally. The other thing I like is that I can use the internal battery or plug it into my car. If I don't want wires running everywhere - I can use the battery. But, if I forget to charge it, I can easily plug it into the car charger.

Not worth the money
I have had this for about a month or a little longer and now it won't stay turned on. The only way it will stay charged is if I keep it plugged into my car outlet and even then it will only stay on for a few minutes. I guess you get what you paid for. When I first got it it was working great picture quality was good except at night you can't see anything on it.

Mmmm let's try to fix it
Affordable product. I don't like the fact the picture is so dark at night when you switch to night mode seems like its always in it unless you switch. I also don't like that its plugged in all day and then I disconnect it at night, and by the morning its dead. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so hopefully it can be upgraded
