Much Cheaper Here Than Part Stores
Well, I was chasing a stutter in my car, so I thought that wires were the next cheapest alternative and I believe I was still running factory wires at 130k miles. I know NGK, I like them, so I figured they were a good way to go. So, I went to Advance Auto to get some plug wires and the cheap ones there were $30 and NGK was $60. Luckily they had to order them, or I would have went ahead and gotten them. I came home and looked on Amazon and found these for the same price as the cheap ones, so I ordered them. It did not fix my stutter, but it did seem to idle a little smoother. These wires seem just fint. I don't really see the difference in these and other wires, but if you can get them at a decent price, I would go ahead and do it. FYI. It does not hurt to replace the wires anyway if it hasnt been done in a while, but if you are looking at these for a First Gen Mini Cooper S because you are chasing a stutter and a lack of performance between 2 and 3k RPM, my problem actually ended up being a vaccum line unplugged under the intercooler. Its hard to see and harder to reach, but check your vaccum lines!

2004 mini cooper 1.6 liter
High quality came with boot grease. Use Q Tip to lightly swab inside of boots both side and end of plug boot end. Do not get it on the metal conductors of wires or plugs. NGK laser plugs are the best and a Delphi new Coil. Don’t buy off brand crap. Plugs, wires, and coil $100. Install 45 min max. Too easy to do. Do it yourself and save.

Works as advertised
It works perfectly! The wires are labeled as well so it's difficult to mess it up.

Replaced stock wires on my 132k mile 2005 Cooper S. The terminals fit fine, but the wire lengths are SLIGHTLY different than stock, which means the routing/placement of the cables isn't EXACTLY the same. This may sound like a nitpick, but the wires will touch/rub against the valve cover and leave tiny little blue marks. Makes me wonder if they'll last the 132k that the OEM wires did. They work fine, they're high quality, this nagging difference is the only real issue. I would probably still buy them again but it's a bit of a shame. Get some dielectric grease for the install. And check the terminals on your coil pack - the OEM coil pack has plated steel terminals, if the plating wears off the steel will rust away to nothing in short order. I've never looked at a stock coil pack that didn't have damaged terminals.
