And definitely check the online version of the game. There's a tutorial as well as a story mode you can play for free to help you get a feel for the game. Quality Product, cards tokens and board are all well made. The box is quite big, I feel like they could've made it more compact. The game itself has been very fun so far, although we've yet to test it enough times. Games can take long especially on your first times playing and you get used to the game mechanics and your faction's strategy. It's fun to go at it blind with a new faction trying to figure out how it works and what combos are possible. There are "Aha!" when you realize that something works, as well as moments where you find that something doesn't work.

If you enjoy competitive 2 player games this is one of the best out there. A lot of meaningful decisions, strategy and tactics. Also a lot of variety and play styles from the different decks. Simple to learn, hard to master, like most great games. Very high quality dice and board, the cards are pretty good quality, although I would sleeve them. I do like the board but it can be difficult to pick up and slide cards around on it especially if not sleeved, I might invest in the neoprene mat version of it if you find yourself really enjoying it, or just sleeve them up like I mentioned before. I also want to mention although amazon says 2-4 player game THIS IS ONLY A 2 PLAYER GAME.

As a fan of card games like dominion, I wanted to introduce similar games to my kids so that we could enjoy playing them together. This game is fairly easy to set up and play within 10 to 20 minutes. The first game took about 45 minutes with several interruptions from the other kids, but we had lots of fun playing it. we may have to find out a way to include more than two players in the game, perhaps having teams so that we can limit interruptions, and include more people in the fun. As we continue to play, we will all need to learn strategy for all the different decks, but it will be a fun experience for myself and the kids.

Simple to understand and difficult to master. My wife and I really enjoy it.

Fun two-player game with a lot of replay-ability.

Summoner Wars is an excellent game for two players. It's mix of tactical positioning like chess, with the drawing of cards and the unique way of building the magic resource from killed units and the randomness of the dice rolls make this a really fun and interesting experience. The second edition is a big improvement over the already excellent first edition (they are not compatible) This listing and it seems others on Amazon no longer include the two promo cards advertised in the description as the first printing seems to have been sold out. I hope they change this as it is misleading.

Amazing game! My husband and I play it often. Used YouTube to the learn it Was easy enough, but all the different types have different moves so it’s a lot. Which it great so it won’t get boring quickly Box stores well, but would like better way of storing cards Definitely a great buy/gift for a game lover

I play this with my 12-year-old son. It is fun and he picked it up really fast. Simple game with lots of replay value. The art is pretty good.

The game is amazing one of the best strategy games in the market I dare to say that I enjoyed the second edition more than the first. Amazon did an amazing job delivering the item even earlier then the lowest estimated time and in a perfect condition I may add.

Great easy game to play

Really an awesome game. Think chess, but with different fantasy race and abilities. There is enough in the core to keep you busy and playing for a long time, but if you like to add more variety it goves you that option with the small expansion packs.
