Does what it says
There are a lot of reviews on this type of device. After trial and error, it worked fantastic.I mashed the paper in warm water and used a sharpened old food mixer in a drill to ‘blend’ the paper. Then squeezed the pulp through a net bag to get rid of excess water, then lightly dampen the pulp before squishing it into the mold. There is no need to over exert when pressing down on the handles. Turn the device upside down, press the mild out and let to dry in the greenhouse. If you try to use paper and not pulp, it doesn’t work very well!

Kingfisher Paper Log/Briquette Maker
A great concept and the process works well but, unfortunately, the unit is not very sturdy. The guage of metal used in manufacture is not thick enough or strong enough to be able to put enough pressure on it, to squeeze out the water from the briquettes. So, it is not very robust. I have been fairly gentle with it but it has already started to bend, after three uses. Pitty, really, because this could be a wonderful tool.

Easy to use
This log maker is very easy to use, and is great value for money.

Flimsy
Made of an incredibly flimsy metal not really suited to the pressure of squeezing the water out. I managed to make two bricks before the top part of the press was mangled and entirely bent out of shape and unable to be used. The bricks were still soaking wet and not very compressed at all. Will be returning.

Easy to use but bricks take forever to dry!
Bricks are easy to make and sturdy machine but they take forever to dry!Plan to make my next batch next summer for the following winter!

Not really up to the job
Not really sturdy enough. The arms start to distort if you apply too much pressure. As you can't apply enough pressure then too much moisture remains so bricks take weeks to dry.

Sturdy briquettes
Works great

A bit disappointing.
A bit flimsy. The bottom plate is not very sturdy and buckled.Makes good sized paper bricks but because you can not over do the pressure the bricks are still very wet when removed and take ages to dry out.
