Super fast
This flash drive has the fastest data transfer speeds I've ever experienced, faster than any external SSD or NAS. It feels like a literal system drive mounted inside your computer. The downside is that it doesn't include hardware data encryption like the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD, but its speed isn't unmatched.

Good Quality from Sandisk
Photo compares their lineup. Smooth Metal feels great in the hand, bear in mind it will scratch easily if you attach a keyring as shown. Satisfying clicks when switching from USB-A to USB-C upon swivelling. Peak write speeds did hit advertised speeds.

Flimsy plastic, not metal construction
I have a few of the SanDisk Ultra Luxe USB drives with swiveling construction and a metal case to help with heat dissipation and ultimately the life of the drive. The draw with this one was higher capacity (I got the 2TB version) and faster performance. It is advertised as having a sophisticated metal design. Unfortunately, while the outer clip that holds the swiveling drive is indeed metal, the drive casing itself is plastic, which is simply unacceptable in a high-performance drive. Furthermore it is much bulkier than the Luxe, and the detents on the swiveling mechanism are very weak and feel flimsy, so the drive won't stay in the USB-C or USB-A position you've selected. I didn't bother testing the speed of the drive and just returned it. The Crucial X9 or X10 is cheaper, faster, available in higher capacities and has a metal shell.
