Awesome!
Love these charcoals! I've noticed a big difference in the taste and smell of our water when using these vs just plain filtered water. I have several glass bottles that I fill with filtered water then place these charcoal filters inside. I leave them in overnight and by morning our water tastes amazing. I've found a Japanese website describing how to use these filters and it states that you should thoroughly clean the charcoals, boil them in filtered water, cool the water and store... I have admittedly not tried this method but I thought it was interesting to add.If you're looking at this product then you're probably already aware that the water we drink has a lot of unsavory elements in it, from cysts, viruses, chemical run-off, to antibiotics that wreak havoc on your gut flora, harmful pharmaceuticals, chlorine and the dreaded sodium fluoride. Our filter happens to get rid of most of these offenders but sodium fluoride is tricky since it is a salt that you just can't get rid of unless you distill or use reverse osmosis which takes everything out of your water including all the minerals your body needs to get truly hydrated. So in short, these charcoal filters won't get the sodium fluoride out of your water but it does seem to add minerals to the water making it softer and more hydrating. Personally, I love these and would definitely recommend them.

Soo Much Better Than Plastic Filters
Maybe it is just me but my these actually made my water taste better. I have never had that experience with either Brita or Pur. I highly recommend this product. I use it in my 40 oz Kleen Kanteen and 36 oz. Camelback. And not throwing those plastic filters in recycling - let's face it, the trash, is more in tune with an eco conscious lifestyle.

Pretty perfect
A great alternative to a nasty plastic water filter jug - I had no desire filter water in something that would just expose me to more chemicals. There's a lot of "BPA-free" on the market, but this is such a scam - these plastics aren't even close to being free of toxins. And all of the glass filter containers I could find were out of my price range. These fit easily into my Kleen Kanteen water bottle and seem to actually work in removing the strong chlorine odor from my otherwise great tap water. My husband was delighted that the pieces of charcoal look like the sticks they once were. How lovely, simple, and affordable! My only concern is being able to remember to boil them every two weeks in order to maintain their effectiveness - I guess that's the trade off for this otherwise perfect solution to my water filtration problem.

easy and simple to use
worked as advertised, I purchased for use on vacation as my daughter complained about the water taste in Europe. No complaints this time, easy and simple to use. Will buy again.

Crisp and clean water
great product! I use 2 of these in my 3-gallon blue wave water dispenser and I always have clean and crips water on tap! You can truly taste the difference. No chlorine smell or taste! Too bad it doesn't remove fluoride but can't change the chemistry.. If you're looking to remove fluoride look up activated alumina pellets.Heads up: "4-6" sticks usually means 4

Love these!
I bought these to replace my Brita filter and I love these so much more then i thought i would. I will definitely be purchasing these again. Doesn't leave any after taste, uses no plastics to help filter my water. Overall I am very happy with this eco alternative. These will definitely become a permanent replacement towards my zero waste lifestyle. <3

Past orders were great and the charcoal really worked
Past orders were great and the charcoal really worked. Myself and a friend recently placed orders and received much smaller pieces that looked different. We compared the older to the newer orders and the water treated by the newer order didn't taste any different from the tap. Guess we are going to have to find a new source. Very disappointing!

I don't think this is 'Activated Charcoal'
This is the 2nd charcoal water purifier product I've bought. The first one I bought said 'Activated Charcoal' and it worked great, big difference in taste, very fresh. Then I tried this one and did not make much of a difference to the taste of the water. So I'm going back to the original one and making sure I only buy 'Activated Charcoal'.BTW, there's more to Activated Charcoal than a burnt piece of wood, look it up.
