If you'd like to reduce the amount of spread in order for the cookies to better show the stamp design, try these things: First, freeze your baking sheets while you prepare the cookie dough. This will help the cookies set and stay in place during baking. Second, chill the dough, roll it out, stamp your cookies and then chill for another 30 minutes before baking.
