Malin + Goetz Dark Rum Candle 9 oz.

This is my favorite scent and people always ask me what it is. When I tell them “cannabis” they look at me weird. I don’t know why it is called this, doesn’t smell like the real stuff at all. It smells very “manly” not sweet or flowery. Plus the whole house smells amazing in a short time.

Lovely scent

I would not say this smells only of Sage. There are other ingredients that give it an earthy outdoor smell. I really like it. The scent fills the room and there is no smoke like some other candles have. I bought another "luxury" candle that I had to return because the smell was so bad I had to air out my house. This one is great and takes very little time to fill the room. There is no smoking and it seems to burn evenly. I would recommend it. I have the Rum perfume from them and like it. I may give that one a try too.

This is the most beautiful fresh fragrance and candle that I have found in a long time. It lasts a very long time. It smells amazing and it looks very pretty. I love the brown color. I believe they have other fragrances but this I smelled in a friend’s house and fell madly in love.

The scent is clean and definitely sage-y. I burn this in my bedroom every morning to chase away any remnants of poor sleep. I trim the wick each time, though; it does get frayed and smoke a bit.

This is the most expensive candle I’ve ever purchased and the company’s scent ‘description bergamot and plum mingle with middle notes of leather and rum, and base notes of amber-patchouli and vanilla’ along with everyone’s rave reviews had my mouth watering. I LOVE scents like these. Add into that the advertised burn time and I thought, okay let’s do it. I was so excited for it to arrive. I’m not sure what the deal is with my candle but my experience is completely different than those rave reviews. Did I get a bad batch? I know from making my own candles that there’s a lot that goes into it… It’s been burning for 3 hours now in a pretty small room (which according to the packaging is actually supposed to be its max burn time) and 1.) I can barely smell it - the throw is terrible - I basically have to stick my face next to it and 2.) it smells like a bar of dove soap and nothing like the description. I’ve bought much better candles from Target for $10, and even the candles I’ve messed around with and made myself have had more throw. Just really disappointed.

Smell is strong and extends pretty far. I personally like the undertones but was hoping they came through more. For me, the gardenia is overpowering. I was worried it would and seemingly was correct. Too sweet for me.

Not impressed at all, the only good thing about this candle it's the design.

I find it difficult to find leather scents that don’t smell chemically, but this is hands down my favourite leather candle of all time. I had zero burn troubles with it and having used it all the way down to the wick I now need to replace it. If you like leather scents I 100% recommend this one.
