The only thing, it does not totally turn off. The light dims but you can still see what it had playing ,it flicks on and off.

This isn't a perfect stereo system, but I wanted something all-in-one. The sound quality is better than most other all in ones on Amazon of comparable price, but not quite what you would get from one of the older, thicker, sturdier stereo systems from Pre-2000. Unlike other reviewers, I have had no issues at all with cassette playback or functionality. Everything works great, plays at correct speed, and sounds great. Older worn out tapes may cause issues, as most of mine are newer punk rock / black metal tapes that were recently duplicated and assembled. The components do, however, feel a little bit flimsy. The one thing I would recommend, as I would with any new record players, is that you buy a better needle. It works fine and sounds great when it plays records, but the needles that come with these things are terrible and will tear up your records. Just replace it with something better, you'll be happy you did after repeated listens. The only major complaint I would have is that there should be a lever to lift the arm on the record player. There isn't. It's either in your hand or dropped, pick one. This can make it difficult to easily and safely stop a record in the middle of play. I did take off a star for this, because it's a relatively major gripe and something I would expect in a player that costs this much. I guess if you have to cut corners somewhere.... For what it is, for what it costs, I'm very happy with it. I've already listened to a bunch of records, tapes and older CDs. No issues, it's been in fairly heavy use (4-5 hours a day) for the past two weeks thus far.

sound is terrible, not worth the price. I am going to try to return it.

The acoustics are GREAT on the FM, CD player and the phonograph. Very easy to set up. Only drawback are the speakers with their short wires. I ended up buying some more speaker wire and extending it so that I could have the speakers on either side of the room for the great acoustics. Easy for a 70-year-old woman to do.
