Nitecore GEM10UV Gem Identification Flashlight with Ultraviolet LED, Black

This light is the best small ultraviolet light source that I have encountered. It's small, extremely powerful at the highest setting and has the ability to be dimmed down to the brightness that suits the task at hand. It goes forever on a good 18650 battery and is extremely well made. It will open a world of hidden things that are only visible in the UV spectrum, like security features on driver's licenses and credit cards. Detect cat or rodent urine stains that are invisible to the naked eye. Lots of other uses like gemology, which is what it was originally designed for. I love mine!

Best to find stones in the wild or identify rubies. You can get the batteries here on Amazon.

This UV flashlight is the best one I've bought from Amazon. I've bought 3 or 4 and use them not only to identify flourescence in minerals but also to harden UV Epoxy. This UV Flashlight has a super feature of a dimmer making it very useful.

I received this product unknowingly without Batteries, probably personal default because maybe I missed where it said batteries not included. I tried some vape batteries that are exactly what the specs says, but it's still not working. I ordered some more batteries based off of my products listing and will receive them in two days. When they arrive and I get to use this product I will gladly change my rating on this product.

For a $60 light with no battery, it could be better. It does not illuminate minerals in the way I had hoped. It can illuminate only the gem quality areas on rough stones, but not well. I suppose this is better for seeing impurities/inclusions in cut gems. I am returning mine.

The knob is a little hard to turn, otherwise good product.

Built like a tank and should be with me for decades! Well made, strong and comes with a belt loop based carrier. This is a good product. I just wish it offered both long- and short-wave UV options. Then it would be perfect for gemologists!

The unit not working with 18650 battery - so its wasted for money - its maybe working with other batteries, but normal people and customers dont wanted to buy million type of different batteries, and we just have 18650 battery and few normal/regular type *Im not willing to buy million different types*

A good flashlight for your money. Please note that regular flat-head 18650 batteries are not suitable for it - they are short for this flashlight, only 18700 batteries (i.e. 18650 with protection) are suitable for it, I bought an inexpensive 18650 Nitecore 3.7V 2300mAh battery (NL1823) for 10 euros and it fits perfectly, you can buy a more expensive 3500mAh battery and the flashlight will work longer. Thanks!

Died after very little use (maybe a dozen times over a year) for maybe 1hour max. Very expensive for something that dosnt last. Pity because design was promising. Trying to work with nitcore to get a replacement. Will update with progress. Amazon was no help
