This is a great little reading lamp - very easy to attach to a book, and has 3 levels of brightness. The light is a warmer white color which is why I chose it over other reading lamps (as very white or blue-tinted light suppresses melatonin) - so I can read at night and not have trouble falling asleep afterward. The light range is large enough that you can easily see the whole page (even with bigger books) without having to continually adjust the neck. It is more than adequate to use in place of a bedside lamp, which is nice if you have other people sleeping in the room. Very sturdy and well-made, yet easy to adjust and will fold up if you need to pack it for traveling. I chose this one after looking at about 20 other reading lights. It is a little bit larger and heavier than some other portable reading lamps, which is no problem for me, but is something to consider if you are purchasing for a child.

We've ordered several of these book lights so far, for ourselves and as gifts. They are lightweight and great for clipping onto the book you're reading or on a bedframe for nighttime reading. The light is surprisingly bright for such a small thing, and the brightness control is a nice feature. We do seem to change the batteries frequently but we also use these lights all the time so it's understandable. This is a nice light for anyone who wants something small, powerful, and unobtrusive.

I love this lamp for its sleek look and extraordinary ability to project a brighter, yet more natural light than any other clip-on light I’ve ever owned; and I’ve owned quite a few! This lamp has everything: natural brightness; very contemporary design features; the ability to use batteries or plug into its own USB port to recharge or supply power without batteries; and the horizontal shape of the lamp head, which disperses more light outward onto the page than any other book-light I’ve used. Usually, these small lamps have just one tiny, clear bulb that spotlights only a portion of a page. This lamp lights the entire page without throwing harsh shadows. I originally bought two, one for my husband. But, after using this lamp, I quickly purchased two as piano lights. I started taking virtual piano lessons at The Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, Pa. I bought a baby grand electronic piano that has a music stand above the keyboard. But my room lighting wasn’t bright enough at night to read music, and none of our lamps fit near the keyboard. One horizontal-headed Nuflex lamp clipped to each side of the music stand and bent over the top of my music book has worked perfectly! Not only are both pages of the music book clearly lit, but the lamp clips hold the music in place at the same time! An amazing lamp in every way!

Nice and small, lightweight, good clip, BUT TOO BRIGHT, EVEN ON THE LOWEST SETTING, to read in bed next to my husband! I tried "dimming" it by putting a sock over it (I didn't want to disturb my husband by getting out of bed, so I just pulled mine off to see what it would do :)) and it was STILL too bright! So, I'm going to try something ELSE to "dim" it and see if I can make it useful. Oh, and it only has three distinct settings - high, medium, and low - which you just choose by pressing the button. Description said you just press and hold to dim it, which would make you think that you could dim it down to the lowest possible light before it shuts off, but you can't.

I like the ability to change the brightness. My husband uses this and his last one would keep me awake. This one I am able to drop off while he is still reading.

I have purchased two of these now (one for my kid) - this is a perfect book light! I have had mine for years already and I use it to read every night. The goose neck is super flexible and holds the position that you put it in.It takes AAA batteries or you can plug in to charge, but I just use batteries because they last a long time. Its nice and bright, and casts light over the entire book.

wonderfully bright but the AAA batteries required for use- this light will burn through them in less than a week. I only use this light a couple of hours during the week, and 6 hours on a Saturday. This light drains the batteries very quickly, ridiculously quick! I would not recommend this.

It feels so solid - the button adjusting the light levels, the neck and how you can move it exactly to the angle you need, the sturdy clip... I love it. The warm yet bright light it gives is probably my favorite thing, though - I hate the cold, irritating light of the LED's in most of my others. I've had well over a dozen book lights over the years and this one is head and shoulders better than any of them. It may be bigger and a little heavier than others, but it's SO worth the trade-off. Price seems way reasonable considering I no longer want to keep trying to find a better one. My holy grail book light - thank you!
