Understanding Exposure, 3rd Edition: How to Shoot Great Photographs with Any Camera Paperback – August 10, 2010

Very helpful for a beginner. Helped me in understanding the concept of exposure.

I`m a dslr noobie and I have to say this guide is the best purchase on cameras I have bought so far. Highly recommended for beginners.

写真撮影をする上での一番大事な露出に絞っている最高の写真参考書の一つ。絞りとシャッタースピードの調節でどのような絵を作れるのか、どういう状況でどの程度の絞りを利用するのがいいのか。順を追って説明してくれます。またホームページから解説ビデオをダウンロードできるのも嬉しいですね。特に興味深かったのは回折現象に付いての誤解を解いてくれるくだり。ぜひ自分で確かめて欲しいので詳しくは書きませんが「プロがF22で撮らない？そんなわけないだろう？」「F２２で撮った写真は回折現象があるから買いませんなんて言われるわけがない」と言ったところです。これを読んだ後、あなたは「等倍にした時のわずかな差」より「写真全体の絵の出来」について関心が行くようになっていることでしょう！

初心者には分かりやすくと思わない。ある程度の知識は必要。私はある程度の知識がありますから本のほぼ全部が分かりましたがすごくいい本と思いません。文章は長過ぎて、不必要。FOCUSING は分かりにくい「ZOOM LENS CONVERSIONS FOR FIXED-LENS DIGITAL CAMERAS」というページがあって、非常に分かりにくい。このページはひどいと言ったら過言ではないと思う。このページはないほうがいいと思います。いい点として、載って いる写真が綺麗。いくつかのやくに立つアドバイスがある。それ以外はごく普通の本。

This was the first Kindle book I purchasedAnd what was a bit disappointed.The book itself is good. There is much hype about this book. I don't think it is so amazing. It hasn't really given me any real new insight. But was useful to understand the author's rules of thumb.What was very dissapointing for me was the low quality of the photos shown in the Kindle version. I tried viewing on my phone and on my pc. Quality is too low. This may well be a limitation of Kindle. But without the ability to view and easily compare the example photos shown, the book is somewhat devalued for me.
