*edit* Over a year later I had no issues with these except for when the lawn guy hits them with a weed whacker and knocks them off. So I used some construction adhesive and glued them on. You could probably use gorilla glue as well.*edit 2* all my gutters were damaged in a storm along with the roof and they’re all being replaced. I just ordered another set of these to put on once the new gutters are installed.I recently had gutters installed and for the first couple days my dogs didn’t care. Then they got curious. After trying to keep them from sniffing the sharp edges for a few days I bought these protectors.Some have said they are difficult to put on. They are a little tricky but not difficult. You just need patience and GLOVES so you don’t cut yourself in the process.Using a small flat head screwdriver to help open up the slot, I started at the bottom. Once the bottom was on, carefully get each bottom corner on and work your way up. It will probably slip off a couple times. But once you have the slot in the rubber opened enough, you can fit it over the sides. If the sides have ridges instead of flat sides, you will need to account for that otherwise have too much at the top. So you kind of just bend it a little to fit over the ridges until you have just enough at the top that you can push it on. Once the last part is on, you can press all of the edges to make sure it is snug.It probably took about 15 minutes to get one on, and that was without removing the downspout. I just did it still attached.

I used these caps to cover the sharp edges of my aluminum rain gutters. The caps can be tricky to put on, especially if the edges of the gutters are curvy (not flat). Separate the edges all around the cap, start at a bottom corner and push on the cap. I found it helpful to have a small mallet to help me fully seat the cap onto the gutter. Once on, the caps look nice and certainly protects the sharp edges of the aluminum.

I purchased with the hopes of being able to trim out some damaged downspouts in order to protect people and pets from being injured from rubbing up against them. SUPER tight rubber with zero to no flex. Not worth cutting my wrists or hands trying to get them on. Hard pass for me.

Once I got these on, they were fine. It takes a little work to get them over the raw edges of the spout, and you have to be careful not to cut yourself. They look fine and fit.

My child loves to play in the rain and collect water from the sprouts. Our drain sprout is pretty gnarly and I was looking for something that can keep the sharp edges at bay. When I tried putting it on at first, it took a bit too get on. But after I opened the edges up a bit, I was able to get it on. I felt a sense of relief that my kid won't get cut from the edges. Would buy again.

Ordered these to protect us and our dog from getting cut if we ran into the down spout. These fit and work great. Putting them on was a some what easy task.

Great product and protection for pets. Had to do a little modification, had to cut about 1/8" to make it fit better. It wokrs as advertised.

These are impossible to put on unless your gutter opening is perfectly squared!
