No, I did not receive the black lid.. I received the one with the lime green lid and it was not what I expected..

I have 4b and 4c combined hair type. My hair soaks up products. It does not leave a shiny finish on my hair. Just defines my curl pattern and bo flakes.

Q: Is this the original formula? Or the new one?

I believe this is the original but I'm not 100% sure.
