The tabs appear to be accurate but be advised there is no tabbing for the rhythm guitar parts. Just the lead/melody guitar parts. I have found it to pretty easy to follow and read.

Good songs, all the intros, tab, everything you need. The first song I ever played was "Walk don't run" and ever since I have been a fan of the Ventures. This book also has pages with the lowdown on the members in the group and to be able to read about them, that was an added bonus, . I highly recommend this book. Delivery was fast and the book was in great shape. 5 stars

I liked the book very well. I've played many of their songs during my life time on my guitar and did like it. I wished they had had Percoldator on it however. I've always wanted the exact notes they did on that song. However, the book had quite a few songs and surf guitar players will love it as I did.

My dad has always loved the Ventures for a long time,hes an oldies lover !, He recently started picking up a guitar to learn some of his fav songs as he can't have his drum set in the house,he found this book to inspire him to learn his songs,and entertain him,photos,info and the front cover of this book all made him a very happy man !, I recommend this to anyone who is trying to make a gift to anyone who loves oldies and would love to learn how to play some of The Venture's tunes ! Used this book as a teaching aid for my guitar student... they gotta learn old school first!! I scanned the pages and used as a power point instruction for the class.

見やすい楽譜です。選曲も良し！ Beethoven Five-O が欲しくて購入しました。

The Ventures sind vom Schwierigkeitsgrad eher einfach, jedoch liegt auch in der Einfachheit oft das gewisse Etwas, weshalb ich diese Band gerne höre. Vorgeschichte: Ich habe mir das Notenbuch (mit Tabs) geholt, weil am Wochenende mit Kollegen eine "Unplugged Session" stattfinden sollte, man aber keine Titel auf dem Plan hatte. Es musste also schnell etwas auf die Beine gestellt werden. Ansich kann man viele Stücke von The Venture auch per Gehör austüffteln, aber um Zeit zu sparen habe ich mir dieses Buch besorgt. Aufbau und Meinung: Die Noten sind nicht zu klein gedruckt und die Qualität des Buches ist auch gut (Einband und Papier). Nur musste ich leider wieder feststellen das gewisse Tabs keinen Sinn ergeben. Klanglich schon, aber spieltechnisch umständlich bis unmöglich. Gerade Anfänger mag sowas in die Irre führen und im schlimmsten Fall suchen diese dann den Fehler bei sich selbst, was den Spaß und Lernerfolg beeinträchtigt. Eine Korrektur mit dem Bleistift blieb also nicht aus. Auch wenn es sich in meinem Fall um eine Unplugged Session mit einer Westergitarre handelt, so finde ich das die Noten etwas mehr "Saft" vertragen könnten. Bei vielen Stücken werten zwei Töne das Stück auf und lassen es näher am Original klingen. Es wird oft zwischen der Begleitung und der Melodie gewechselt, wobei die Melodien im Vordergrund stehen. Meiner Meinung nach wäre es besser gewesen eine Spur für die Begleitung und eine Spur für die Melodie zu erstellen. Manchmal ändert sich auch die Begleitung, dies wird jedoch im Buch nicht erwähnt. Wie gesagt kann man das alles raushören, aber die meisten Leute kaufen sich ein Buch, um nicht mitdenken zu müssen und einfach zu spielen.
