Love this water filter!
I'm not sure why this product got so many negative reviews - my boyfriend and I love our Soma filter! We just moved into an apartment together and my boyfriend swore by Brita pitchers, but I came across this Soma pitcher instead and I'll admit that a huge reason for purchasing it was the design. It looks super sleek and matches our white kitchen and bamboo accents perfectly. It holds 10 cups of water, which is plenty for us two! I refill it after every use out of habit, but it's plenty enough so that it's not annoying if my boyfriend uses it and forgets to refill, you know? We're from NJ and we don't notice any extra chlorine taste or that our water tastes weird/off at all. We both think that this filter works great and gives us quality drinking water!I noticed a lot of the reviews were about mold build up around the top and the confusion about cleaning the pitcher. We've been using ours for about 3 weeks now, and I haven't noticed any type of mold buildup yet. But if you go on Soma's website, they have very helpful videos explaining how to clean your filter and especially detach that part that a lot of these reviews complain about! :)Overall, we're very happy with our Soma pitcher. For the price, function, and design - I'd highly recommend! Plus you don't have to replace the filter for 4 months..beautiful!!

better redesign that original 10-cup pitcher!
same great pitcher, but handle design is more robust and better design attaching to plastic pitcher (see pics to compare old and new handle design).need to buy new one because the poor design of original model, which was about 4-5 years old....the base of handle where its attaches began to crack and started to break away, repaired with some flex tape and loctite glue, got an extra year out of it but crack reopened again....time for a new one.pleasant surprise with new handle design, glad they improved it....only negative difference from old one is when pouring with full amount of water filtered it tends to glug, glug, glug and splash a bit more when water leaves the spout, but might reduce over time. (FYI i dont use the lid, find it inconvenient when filling to capacity, so might be less glug with lid on). Also hope the white rubber seal around upper lip of cone doesn't discolor as bad as the old one did over time, despite frequent cleanings and attempts to remove discolor with bleach pastes like soft scrub.overall love the new pitcher, highly recommmend (especially at a used price under $40, which this one was, practically brand new), just wish it were glass instead of plastic like the smaller pitcher, maybe one day Soma will make it out of glass instead.

Pure Refreshment
I have been using the Soma Plant-Based Replacement Filters for my Soma water pitcher, and I am delighted to give them a well-deserved 5-star rating. These filters have become an essential part of my water purification routine, providing me with pure and refreshing water that I can trust. One of the standout features of the Soma Plant-Based Replacement Filters is their plant-based composition. These filters are made from a unique blend of plant-based materials, such as coconut shell carbon and silk, which effectively filter out impurities and contaminants. The use of renewable and sustainable resources in the manufacturing process aligns with my eco-conscious values, making me appreciate the product even more. The filtration performance of these replacement filters is exceptional. They effectively remove chlorine, mercury, zinc, copper, and other unwanted substances from tap water, ensuring that the water I consume tastes fresh and clean. I have noticed a significant improvement in the overall taste and odor of my drinking water since using these filters.Replacing the filters is a breeze, thanks to the user-friendly design. The simple and intuitive installation process allows me to effortlessly swap out the old filter with a new one, ensuring continuous access to purified water. The filters fit securely and snugly in the pitcher, preventing any leakage or issues during use.Durability is another key aspect of these replacement filters. Each filter has a long lifespan, providing me with approximately two months of reliable filtration before needing to be replaced. This extended lifespan not only ensures cost-effectiveness but also minimizes the frequency of filter changes, saving me time and effort. The Soma brand is synonymous with quality and sustainability, and these replacement filters are no exception. The commitment to using high-quality materials and the use of a rigorous manufacturing process gives me confidence in the overall reliability and performance of the filters.Additionally, the Soma Plant-Based Replacement Filters are compatible with various Soma water pitcher models, making them a versatile option for Soma users. Whether you have a classic pitcher or a newer model, these filters are designed to fit seamlessly and provide the same exceptional filtration results.

Only buy this if you like your water clean, easy, and fast
It's rare that I care about/review a kitchen product, but this caught me off guard. What is it you care about? Aesthetics? Sustainability? Convenience? Health? These little guys have it all. This is the best water filter pitcher and I've tried them all (meaning at least 4).I know this is a review about the filters, but they are the engine that runs the whole Soma product. The filters clean up all the bad stuff in the water with a quick drip (that matters when you just got back from a run and can't bring yourself to pollute your body with sink water), the whole pitcher looks good enough to put on your table (no more being embarrassed by a pitcher that rhymes with critta), the ingenious refill hole/system saves you time and fumbling, and the whole company runs with a heart that cares about people and our environment (coconut carbon in a plant based filter). If you don't want to ditch your pitcher and buy a Soma you're not fit to make adult decisions.
