A great value for a premium fan
In every way, I found this to be a premium quality ceiling fan that was an oustanding value for its price. It has been thoughtfully engineered for an installation that is as easy as possible and secure. It is perfectly quiet at all speeds. The included LED bulbs provide a great deal of light with very little power use. We love the style, which was perfect for our room. We also opted for the optional Hunter remote control kit that gave us full control of the fan and lights from its wall mount or by our bedside.

Nice looking fan, well made, easy to install
I used our own glass bells. The clear ones are ugly. I used our previous LED bulbs, not the ones in the box. I did not have the problem of the 1* reviews that say the lights spin with the fan. They were secure and solid. POSITIVE REMARKS 1. Its quiet, unlike my previous fan and its "ne-yit ne-yit ne-yit" noise. Primary reason of replacement 2. Mine was relatively balanced as is, without needing weights. HUGE plus. 3. It does look nice; my wife loves the rustic gray blades. She keeps staring at it. 4. Install relatively straight forward like most fans NEGATIVE REMARKS 1. I'm tired of these manufacturers using a mount that "supports" itself against the ceiling drywall. A fan should never need this. If you want to stabilize a fan, you balance it. However, since the fan "hangs" in its mount by a single point, like it should, there really was no purpose in mounting against the ceiling drywall. I shimmed between the electrical box and the with washers so that my screws tighten up against the electrical box, and NOT so much the drywall ceiling. 2. The housing is like 30% bigger than it needs to be. Much bigger than the motor assembly itself. I suspect the housing is the same on this 42" fan and the 52" fans so when looking at the 42" fan, the housing is huge. 3. This fan isn't so compact for a standard height room. Looking at the design of the mount, down pole and housing; it could have been 2" higher up without so much wasted space. With my 8' walls, the max is about 6'3" before you bump the bells. 4. While the fan does look nice, it looks nicer in THEIR pictures. The clear glass bells don't look very good IRL either. NEUTRAL REMARKS 1. The fan has a different system for mounting its blades. The arm presses into grommets. Haven't seen that before. I'm OK with it. It does save a little bit of time not having to bolt them together 2. In the past, there was always a rubber spacer between the fan arm and the motor. Not this time. Not sure if it matters? 3. Instead of numbered bags for the hardware, the instructions used symbols. One of those symbols was wrong. It was the bag of 10 screws with split washers for the fan blades. Bag has a whirl symbol on it. END NOTES Overall, I'm pretty happy with the fan. It took me about 1.5 hours to install. Nothing was difficult for a person who has done this a dozen times. I'm looking forward to its quiet operation and well balanced blades. That alone is a huge improvement. We are debating getting the same fan in 52" with the matte gray finish for one of the bedrooms. I'd have to order some bells for it though. The housing size should look more appropriate on a 52". Either that, or a more classic looking fan like our master bedroom has. Sorry my pictures not so great

Easy to install and BRIGHT lighting!
My husband had never installed a fan before. He did this rather easily. We love the look and the fan works great. We had a fan in this room already, but it had a globe that covered the lights. It simply did not seem like enough lighting since it was going in a studio room for myself to work in. I purchased this fan, hoping that it would brighten up the room with the way the lighting fixture on it was placed. Oh my goodness talk about bright! It came with three lights, but I had to get some bulbs that were actually a little dimmer. I bought it for more light, but my goodness! It was too much light! I am so happy with this purchase and now that I have the bulbs that suit my lighting needs everything is perfect. It also has two blade color options. I chose the lighter color option, but it also has a dark brown option that you could face downward if you prefer that look.

This is a great fan - easy to install!
I have installed two previous ceiling fans and this was the easiest by far. Very intuitive process. The install notes were adequate. I love the clear, glass shades which a bit provide a more modern appearance. Both blade colors are nice but I choose the darker color to stay consistant with other fans in my home. The only issue I encountered during install the motor covering would not fit properly over the fan bracket. I used a wrench to slightly bend the bracket in a bit and problem resolved nicely. The price is a bit more than similar fans (albeit less expensive on Amazon) but I feel the quality is worth it. The fan runs smoothly and is perfectly quiet. The the lights are quiet bright for a 12x12 office. I will add a dimmer to my wall switch and buy dimmable bulbs to have options. I'm very satisfied with the Hunter fan and will buy again as I continue to replace other 22 year old fans in my home.

Attractive and Efficient
After shopping for the right ceiling fan in three different stores, I found nothing that met my requirements. I needed smallish, hugger fans for two small bedrooms and I didn't want dark, fake wood looking things with frilly globes on the light kit. My local stores had nothing small that appealed to me so I took a chance online, knowing I could return them via Amazon, and I couldn't be more pleased with this fan! I bought two identical, white fans to blend away on the ceiling. The light kit is not corny, it's contemporary and bright! It will be great on gloomy, winter days of which we have many. The fan is substantial and well made. The air flow is excellent and they are quiet, which I greatly appreciate in this noise polluted world. I hired a handyman to install them and he did so in about an hour and a half. Both rooms previously had ceiling fans (one broken, the other wimpy) so that did make the install easier for him.

I needed to add a ceiling fan to my bedroom and knew that the Hunter brand of ceiling fan was made of quality and reliability, thus I purchased the product. The installation was more difficult than I had expected, as I was a former electrician for 16+ years, but after several hours of struggling to install the fan, I finally completed the job. I noticed several things about the ceiling fan, the quality and workmanship that went into the making of the fan was evident at first glance and feel of the unit. And once turned on, the unit is so quite I can scarcely notice the fan if on other than noting the ever so slight breeze from the fan as it is currently in the "downdraft" mode. The air in the bedroom is no longer hot and stifled but is moving ever so quietly with the fan running. This is a great product and one I would highly recommend.

Bought this fan based on reviews and because it is a great looking fan. Developed a flicker in lights which make it very annoying to have lights on. Also, a noise started when having the fan on so it was hard to sleep. Basically I use my side light now and don’t turn on the fan. Pretty nice ceiling decoration now. Called Hunter warranty. They were great off the bat. Got back to me right away, and then nothing. They totally cut off communication from me even after repeated attempts to continue to resolve the issue. So now I’m stuck with this fan. Only a few months old too. Not happy.

Replaced a standard ceiling light in a guest bedroom. This fan looks great in the room, bronze matches the decor. The lights are very bright (7w LED bulbs included) compared to a filtered glass look. The fan is dead quiet - you can only hear air movement, which is why I stick to Hunter (have 3 in total). The installation is a breeze, if your electrical box is already fan rated - adding support is the hard part and I had to add supports from the attic. To make this purchase perfect, it would have been nice to have a simple remote included. Note: You cannot run this off a dimmer switch - the fan will hum and the LED lighting will probably not work properly during fan operation. This is not a defect in the fan. If you have a dimmer switch, replace with an on/off type switch.

I thoroughly recommend this fan - it is quiet, stable and feels well made. The clear glass shades are a more modern, clean design than on other fans and also the light sockets fit regular base light bulbs! This fan does come with 3 led bulbs which are bright white in hue - but if you want to change them then the choice is huge! Electrician installed it for us so cannot comment on installation - the manual looks well written though.

I’ve installed up a number of ceiling fans over the years and this one was by far the easiest. It’s well thought out and designed and look great. We’re very happy with the quality, style and quiet operation. Highly recommended.
