Great for meatballs
This is a basic scoop. Nothing fancy. For the price it's OK. Not sure how it will hold up on hard frozen ice cream as the scraper isn't that secure. I bought it for making meatballs which it is perfect for.

Dissapoint-cream for dessert
Was so excited to scoop some ice cream without the dang handle bending on me, just for this scooper to have a plastic case on the handle that spins when you try to scoop cold ice cream !! DISSAPOINTED! Still using a darn MELON BALLER! May try to break the grey plastic handle off.. not sure yet.

Different than photo
First, this scooper is not as pictured. It has a ring that slides along the inside to release the ice cream. The photo shows a round lifter thing in the middle that would push out the ice cream, but that's not what I got. Also, the scoop is very big (maybe 1/2 cup). You would not use it for cookie dough unless you were making huge cookies. Overall it looks okay but not what I expected.
