great value for the money
This product has very low dust and rinses out quickly. Its a good value for the money. I have multiple fish tanks and change my carbon every month. In addition, I rinse it every week.

It does what activated charcoal does, well.
Well packaged and seems to be a good amount for the money. It does its job well in a recirculating air VOC scrubber for a 3D printer with a heated enclosure. After many hours of printing a few feet away from from my desk, there is no hint of odor when printing odoriferous filaments.Plan to buy more when this plenteous supply is exhausted!

Great product for your aquarium

Excellent for pet water filtration.
I use a Drinkwell Stainless Multi-Pet Fountain with a Reusable Filter for Drinkwell 360 + 3-month Supply of Carbon . These carbon pellets work perfectly. Some people have complained that other carbon pellets are too soft. These are almost identical to what came with my filter originally. I selected the 100oz (6¼ lb) size because it's so economical. Carbon pellets last forever and never expire.Since buying the reusable filter, I've decided it's more economical to not use filter cartridges at all. Just fill the cartridge holder with these pellets. A bit of screen material cut to fit in both ends, and you're all set! Great product with very little residue.
Acurel LLC Extreme Activated Carbon Pellets are so clean it really doesn't need rinsing. I have it running in two different canister filters and it seems to work great. Water quality is good. I didn't go five stars only because I feel I need more time to see how long it last. I will buy this product again. The price is also very reasonable.

"Old black water, keep on rollin'"
Awful, Awful, Awful. I've had mixed results with the "economy" Acurel (mostly good), but this is like a slow ink injection system.I'm using this for a Drinkwell Avalon fountain.I rinsed this product (with a faucet sprayer) each time I put it back in use.After 2 weeks, 4 cleanings of the bowl, and 2 pre-filters, the water is GREY, the bowl looks like it went through a fire and (normally white) pre-filter is black (again).I was hesitant to write this review, because it's not something I do, and I also contacted the company (the web form is broken, you have to call). The company contacted me and merely stated that "Our carbon is already prewashed and it should not have to be washed again" and asked where I bought the product. I supplied pics and the data requested and some addition info, and then: nothing. That was several days ago.In short, my opinion of this product would have to improve for me to be very disappointed.It sucks that bad.

Super clean.
Some of this carbon comes really dirty. The sunsun replacements I bought never came clean. This required only a quick rinse. There's no dust or other residue filming the surface of my aquarium water. I've just started it in my filter. I'll get back on performance later.
