Q: Will this product hold up while doing burpees and such. The ones I have now are very cheap and when I push off the interlock part seperates.

These are good to protects floors from barbell workouts, but they slip on (my) hardwood floors and separate with cardio movements like burpees.

Ok, this is going to involve math. :) The tiles are two feet by two feet. That's 4 square feet, so take the number of square feet in the package, and divide by 4. The 96 square feet package, for example, is 96/4=24. Thus, there are 24 tiles in the 96 square foot package. Measure the length and width of your room. If you don't want to cut a tile, round the length *down* to the nearest two feet. If your room is 13 feet 7 inches, round down to 12 feet. Then, since each tile is two feet square, divide that by two. You'll be able to fit up to six tiles along that 13 foot 7 inch wall without cutting anything. Do the same for the other wall. If you can fit six tiles along one wall, and four tiles along the other, you can fit up to 24 tiles in the room without cutting. If you instead want to cut the edges off of some tiles and go full wall-to-wall, round *up* to the nearest even number instead. So, that 13 foot 7 wall would round up to 14 instead. The rest of the procedure is identical with the dividing by two, measuring the other wall, etc.

Q: Are these textured on both sides? Or is one side smooth?

It seems the answer depends on the thickness you buy. I bought the 96 square feet 3/4 inch thick one and it is textured on both sides.

Q: Would these work well for soundproofing? I live in an upstairs apartment, looking to workout without bothering my downstairs neighbors.
