Better than expected!
I had serious doubts about the quality of this scope given the price point, but it surpassed my expectations. The thing that worried me was that their wasn't very much parallax adjustment past 300 yards. In fact none. I went to our spot and dialed in a target at 347 yards. The adjustment was already out to infinity at this short distance. The picture was clear and crisp. Went to 400, 600 and then 850 yards. Still a clear picture on infinity setting. Glass was clear to the edges, big eye box. Even bobbing my head gave no parallax deviations. Tracked perfectly and returns to zero, spot on! Turrets are not mushy like others have said. They are just close ratioed, but concise feelable clicks. Using the Burris XTR Signature rings with 20 MOA inserts added gives me plenty of adjustment to go out beyond the 1000 yard mark. Not worried about not having a zero stop as one full revolution (15 MOA) gets you already out past 600 yards, so doubt you will get confused as to where you are at. Buy once, cry once! This scope is as good as or better than competing scopes costing up to twice the price.

simply amazing
We bought this scope for our young son to teach him to shoot as the rifle (savage axis) didn't come with iron sights. It's definitely more than we expected. Crystal clear image and powerful enough to see heat risers. Easy to zero and it held it like a champ. By the end of the first day at the range he was grouping at 2in and putting bullet within bullet hole at 200yds. We were using a marking target paper and the scope was able to pickup the holes easily in it... no walking down the range to see what's going on. The adjusting knobs felt good without exaggerated 'wiggle'. They had a nice click that can be felt on your fingers so you can count off the moa. Important when reaching out and/or hunting. We went with the Vortex rings for the mounting. Too many people cheap out with the rings then complain that the glass isn't performing as advertised. This scope "does not" have a locking zero. Bummer, but you can't have it all. If you want a locking zero then you have to step up. We did. We now own two scopes and a hoodie. The warranty is real. I had a problem with one of the scopes. Called them up, no hassle, sent it back and got it returned really quick. The scope was fine though.... I screwed up in the mounting... oops. Great scope for the price, twice the price.

Vortex for the win
Great scope to use on my .22LR rifle. I swapped the rail on my .22LR rifle receiver to a 20 MOA rail was able to use this scope to clearly hit targets out to 200 yards. The glass is very clear. The turrets have nice positive click feel. The FFP reticle is nice and sharp. The separate parallax knob really helps get a accurate and focused sight picture. I like it so much, I bought another for another .22LR I have.

Great Value
This optic is one that punches well above its price range. I'm not one who is a fan of optics, generally, and I dislike paying nearly as much as the weapon it is going on (or more) for an optic. Naturally, I was looking for something reasonably priced, but still quality. This is that optic. The glass quality is very nice and the magnification and zoom settings are great. It provides for some premium options like parallax adjustment and you can set your zero as your starting poitn for adjustments. I went with the Mil version as opposed to the MOA version and I'm still learning how to use it, but the instructions supplied are very helpful, and it seems like it will be easier to make on-the-fly adjustments. I wish it came with the flip-up caps, but as it is, this is still a great value. The only con I can think of is that the glass seems to almost have a slight rainbow-like color at full magnification, but it's really not much to be concerned about, as everything is still visible. This is not a $5,000 Nightforce or Trijicon, but it really is very functional. I'll update the review if anything goes sideways on me, but from the build quality and attentiveness of Vortex, I don't anticipate the need to. ALSO, if you've read this far, make sure to check if there are any "used" options for purchase. I bought mine used and it happened to be brand new and in the factory wrapping, and it was considerably cheaper than the "new" option.

Excellent for this price point.
First the bad....well kind of bad. The eye relief is very critical, got to make sure you get your eye positioned JUST RIGHT! I had a Vortex Viper that the eye-box was very forgiving, but it cost three times more than this one. Under the turret, the gasket is very small and flimsy, you must be very careful that you do not damage it when you remove the turret to set it back to the "0" mark after you sighted it in. Now the good....it is a very usable reticle and had pretty danged clear for a $350 optic, it tracked well, and the clicks were pretty tactile and pretty auditable. Is it a top of the line OMG! kind of scope...no. But if you are on a budget like most of us, this is an excellent scope for basic needs. Just remember, you are probably not on the US Olympic Shooting Team, and chances are you're not a sniper......so you don't need all the stuff that a $1000 scope has, versus this usable glass.

Vortex scopes are quite the deal. My first one.
Worth every sent and I feel like this is one of the best deals on optics out there. I can do with this the exact same thing I did with scopes 3 times the price. Quality of glass is not as good as higher end optics... so do your research and understand the difference. I’m not taking a picture and bottom line, the Bullet hits in the same place at extended range. 800 to 1000 yards is not an issue. You may be or the weapon but the optic is solid. Also holds zero... I have had zero issues. MRAD is fantastic and reliable once you’ve run it out to range. If you use the turrets they work like there supposed to and I’ve had no issues returning to zero after dialing them in at range. Zero sets a little lower then zero... doesn’t line up exactly between the turret and the housing. It’s really a tiny thing as it makes no difference once you understand how it lines up... mine is just a hair lower. I use ballistic wraps on my turrets so it’s a real non-issue for me.
