Light weight and very sharp looking. I love it.
I've been looking for case for my old iPad 4th generation and was happy to find this one. It's exactly as described and fits my old iPad perfectly. It's snaps on easily and can be removed just as easily. I was please to find it was very lightweight so it didn't add to the weight of the iPad. I read a lot on it and it gets heavy to hold after a time. But, this case also lets you stand your iPad upright on a flat surface just like the old Apple version except this feels more secure because it's got a bigger "foot". The case itself is very sharp looking and feels good to the touch. I was worried that it would get finger prints all over it but so far it's stayed nice looking even with all the handling it gets from me. I've used it for a week now and am very happy with it. I would have only one caveat. If you are looking for a case that might protect your iPad from a fall, this is probably not the one for you. I don't think it's sturdy enough to prevent harm. But if you're looking for a case that's lightweight and good looking and does what's needed for everyday use, then this would be the case for you. And the price is right!

Granny can play her games on old I-pad, whose cover had worn out!
My gr-dau gave me her I-pad from high school (2012). Still works very well, I mainly just play games on it. Had worn cover out, and this product came with two cases - one w/apple logo, the other plain. Lets me prop the unit up either vertically or horizontally. Love that it fit well, and I didn't have to buy a new device- just to play solitaire games on it! Still usable for taking photos or internet, except I'm too old for all that!

Not a horrible case for the price, but no confidence in protection in the event of a drop
This is a nice-looking case, and should prevent scratches on the back of the tablet, but I'm not confident it will offer the tablet any protection in the event of a drop or other shock. From looking at the ad pictures I had the impression this case was thick enough to absorb shock. However, the plastic is quite thin and flimsy, and I don't think it would handle any shock well at all. For perspective, the plastic shell is about as thick as 3 standard mailing envelopes. The front cover would likely do a good job of protecting the screen in the event of a drop *IF* the front cover were to stay closed on the way down. However, the front cover is just a loose fold-over flap and there's nothing to keep it closed. On a scale of 1-5, I would rate my confidence in this case's ability to protect my iPad in the event of a drop at "1." This case really should be called a scratch cover. However, it looks nice, its "kickstand" feature works, and it was very inexpensive. Since you get what you pay for, and I paid only $11.99 for this case, I can't really expect too much of it and can't in good conscience bash on it too much (had it cost a few dollars more my review would have been, "Run for the hills!"). Therefore I give this case an overall rating of 3.
