Very beautiful build. Not too difficult
These are micro blocks so don't get them confused with regular size legos. Using tweezers helps the assembly process go much smoother than trying to fumble the tiny blocks with your fingers. About halfway through I was having difficulty assembling the pieces. I took a break and came back and then everything went smoothly from there out. Need to be cognizant of the colors in the instructions as they are difficult to tell which blocks to use. I used the wrong color of green in the planter of the tree and didn't realize it until I was ready to start with the leaves. So I just modified and used a combination of dark and regular green throughout. Still turned out beautiful.

No water needed
The media could not be loaded. It's beautiful! Love the 3D effect of it. I used to have a live juniper bonsai years ago but because I was a noob plant mom, sadly it died. I never bought another bonsai since then.I bought this for myself but my teenager did it herself in three days. She loved building it and wants to have another nanoblock bonsai kit if there's anymore. So when you open the box, they are organized in small packets with no number (unlike the lego). They are categorized by size. But since it has so many tiny pieces, we had to use our own'puzzle stackable trays' for it which really help or if you have tupperwares, you can use them too! This has tiny bricks so you might need to use some tweezer. I had to buy a display case meant for a basketball (10.3 in x 10.6 in x 10.6 in) to protect it. There's still lots of room for another nanoblock kit if I decide to have another one in.

One of the best building block kits I’ve ever worked with.
I have been eyeing this kit for months and recently saw it half price for a moment and bought it. Once I finally received it I immediately started working with it, and it was a challenge from nearly the first page. This was a very rewarding challenge though. The pieces are MUCH smaller than Legos and at certain points the directions aren’t very clear and you have to really study the images and the subtle details on where certain blocks are placed. A couple times I did have to do a small tear down of an area for rebuilding before proceeding to another step. The quality of the pieces are very close to LEGO in terms of plastic used. Some of the fittings and locking designs aren’t utilized as they would be in a LEGO brand set. This causes some pieces to be susceptible to sliding. But once you work with them you quickly come up with ways to deal with this. This build took me about 2.5 days as I was doing it over my 4th of July holiday. If you search Nanoblock tweezers on Amazon, you will see a couple different kinds for these Nanoblock builds. I bought a pair and I would suggest you do too. Some of areas are really tight and the single pip blocks are extremely small to work with; the tweezers made setting and unsettling the blocks a breeze.I have seen some of the other Nanoblock kits here and on their site, unfortunately right now this bonsai was the only one that really captivated my interest. I want to check them out again because this kit was extremely rewarding to finish, and I’d like to pick up another Nanoblock kit soon. It was completing my first LEGO kit as a kid. Such an awesome kit. This tree will sit on my desk as a “plant” I won’t have to worry about watering.

Beautiful
Takes patience and very delicate. Was hard for me to put together because of how fragile it was when building. The building was easy to follow though which made assembly easier. You need a very steady delicate hand. Enjoyed the process though and would definitely buy more sets in the future. I also really liked the attention to detail. It looks very realistic.

You must suffer before you can grow
I've never cried from a lego set but the finish product was definitely worth the pain. Probably one of the hardest sets ive ever built and this is not for those who are impatient.

So cute. So fragile.
This was fun to assemble but I'm afraid to look at it to hard, lest the darn thing crumble under my gaze. Very fragile.

Great and fun way to pass the time
Built it while my 3 1/2 year old niece watched she kept saying it was beautiful the whole time I put it together and it only took me about 6ish hours to fully build probably would’ve been a lil faster without the audience
