Like other reviews, I found the screws included with the hardware to be lacking. Four #14 screws were included with the main package and that size is good for fixing the track to the bookshelf. The additional track I ordered came with tiny #10 screws with heads almost too small for the holes in the track brackets. The track and the track connectors work well and weren’t very hard to put up straight. Track is made of steel and seems very strong. We mounted the rollers on the inside of the ladder and counter sunk the roller bolts into the back of the ladder to get the bracket tight against the ladder frame. There’s lots of room to make your ladder taller than the top of the bracket. I bought 8' wood pieces to make up my ladder but should have gone a bit longer. Wheels mounted with my own #14 screws as well. Overall good quality for the price. Some other kits were $1000 more direct from manufacturer. So value is here.

My wife has wanted a library ladder to replace the constant use of a step ladder to water her plants on a beam that is 9 feet high. Lots of searching found overpriced hardware kits, but this is much more reasonably priced. The track went together easily on the beam and I built a wooden ladder and fixed the wheel kits to the ladder. I couldn’t be happier with the results, it’s very sturdy, and rolls smoothly. The all black hardware looks fabulous and everything fit together just as it should. Looks 100 years old and works like brand new. Wife is happy!
