I love these, awesome buy. Had them for a couple years now and zero issues with corrosion or rust. I live in a tropical climate where the weather destroys everything I own pretty much but not these. I use them daily, keep em by the sink, wash every day and let drip dry. You will need to twist a couple times to tighten once in awhile because of the design of these but it takes less than 5 seconds, just a couple flicks of the wrist. Due to the design, they're easy to take a part and clean. Very very happy I bought these for the kitchen. Mine are still very sharp.

Best kitchen scissors I ever owned. Sharp, and stays sharp. Easy to clean in dishwasher because it comes apart and back together again super easily. Worth the price. Buy it.

Zero complaints!...well almost I bought these meat shears to replace a pair of random scissors I had used for the longest time and were surprisingly able to do most of the things that I wanted and needed to do in the kitchen, except for cutting through meat... so I figured when my handles broke off of the old scissors that I would go ahead and upgrade to actual meat shears. In spite of being very sharp, It's super easy to clean safely either by hand with a brush or you can stick it in the dishwasher. I was concerned that the feature that allows you to take the two blades apart to use individually as knives would perhaps be loose and come apart as I was using them like scissors, but that wasn't the case at all. I use them primarily as scissors to chop up just about anything you can think of while cooking. I've cut into chicken bones I have cut into steak, Pizza, hot dogs, bacon packaging, broccoli, rosemary, sage, onions... And it did great! It feels sturdy has a nice weight to it without being too heavy or making my hand feel tired, which would happen when I would use shears that had the spring mechanism in the middle and I love that it has a bit of a vintage feel to it which looks nice in my retro inspired kitchen One downside is that part of the description was its ability to open up a bottle... Perhaps I'm missing something in the technique but the part of the scissors that are described as being able to do that is shaped and smoothed in such a way that I find it rather difficult to do that... rather than pop open the bottle top it shattered the glass so I couldn't recommend using that part... There is a myriad of other ways to open up a bottle top though, so it really isn't a primary concern of mine... That section has been great for popping the tail off of shrimp though! ... and I could see how it would be easy to use for cracking nuts... The individual blades are not so great for skinning potatoes but excellent for everything else I mentioned and similar... That again could be down to technique. Overall I love these so much and use them for every meal I cook multiple times everyday... I would definitely recommend these shears and I'm thinking of gifting a few😍 ✂️👌🏾

Do you use scissors to cut pizza? Ever get tired of slicing through meat while trying ti keep the plate still? Well these scissors are for you! Forget how sharp they are as you effortlessly cut through your pizza crust, they also come apart and can go right into your dishwasher for a convenient clean! I like to keep them for food/food packaging use only to avoid getting glue from tape on them, but use them to suit your own needs knowing they are durable and washable in a way regular scissors are not.

Using shears has never been so satisfying. Maybe that is a bit of exaggeration. I own quality hair cutting shears as well as fabric shears and neither pair touches anything but their intended materials. I would find myself at least once or twice a day longing to "just once" use one of my task-specific shears for some mundane cutting I was using bargain scissors to accomplish. I am not even sure how we ended up with 5 pairs of cheap, plastic-handled scissors when I took stock two years ago, but waste not, want not. The best of the 5 became the kitchen shears, one was designated the "utility" scissors, one went to the office ( and oh noes, a co-worker borrowed them and failed to return!), and the remaining two waited in the wings for their day. The designated utility scissors broke spectacularly one day (eye protection, it is a GOOD thing), so back-up scissors were brought out and one pair discovered to have rusted closed. One of the handle loops on the other (Fiskars, no less) broke within a day after a 30" drop onto tile. Made. My. Whole. Month. Anyone who has tried to balance quality goods, frugality, and environmental concern should understand the relief of being able to discard and replace cheap, inferior goods for quality without qualms regarding throwing away something "usable". Enter these shears. We eschew plastic when possible so new shears needed to be all metal. Check. Also, maintainable so the ability to sharpen was another checkbox. Check. I scoured reviews and ordered these and was not disappointed. Upon receipt I immediately tried them on a sheet of paper and was met with an oh, so satisfying *crunch* as the blades came together, cleanly cutting the paper. It was all I could do to slip these shears into the kitchen utensil crock rather than spend the day gleefully cutting paper to bits. There was a bit of comedy a few days later when my other half opened them a bit too far and they separated, as designed, and I had to explain the nuances of quality steel kitchen shears while deftly snapping them back together. The poor man was initially devastated thinking he broke the new, awesome shears but now he is a bigger fan than ever. I am happy with these shears and expect them to last a good long while if not my lifetime. I dropped a star because, as another reviewer mentioned, the tabs on the handles for popping tabs are too thick for that task. Small flaw and not a feature I was seeking, but it was in the selling points. If you are looking for that functionality, Maybe consider a different model. If you are looking for a quality pair of shears that hold an edge, makes clean cuts, and will not skew or break apart during use, these fit the bill. I forsee another pair replacing my final pair of cheap scissors, now destined for an early retirement.

love that it is detachable and i can clean the part around the hinge so easily. can simply detach and put in the dishwasher. dries fast, no need to worry about rusting or grime build up around the hinge. well made and feels so solid. hopefully will last a lifetime
