Beautifully Bound. Beautifully Translated
There is nothing to dislike about this edition of the Holy Qu'ran. The Arabic text is there alongside the English, for those who wish to check translation, and the English flows well and is easy to read, unlike many of the other translations of the Qu'ran into English. The binding is utterly magnificent, and is one of the best leather bindings I have ever seen. Real quality. There are also a series of essays at the back of the book relating to the relevance of the Qu'ran, which I found very helpful. I cannot praise this edition of the Qu'ran highly enough. It is the best translation I have found, in terms of my understanding it as someone who speaks modern English as my primary language. It is also, in its production, a thing of beauty in itself and I find it very fitting that a beautiful book like the Holy Qu'ran should be so beautifully produced. If your primary language is English, you won't find a better translation than this, in my humble opinion, and you will also, in this leather bound edition, have something of genuine quality and beauty.

Poor translation Read Surah 33: 4 Is this a misprint or a deliberate insult?
I was very disappointed to see the translation on Surah 33: 4 was so badly wrong to the extent it was insulting the Quaran. I would like to know who printed this and how it was authorized. It states in the translation 'You are prohibited to me for marital relations as is my own mother's backside"This was completely incorrect and it even looks to be a malicious translation with deliberate intent to malign the Quran. How did this get past the printing press?
