Great sight and super bright
The HIVIZ front sight is a simple but really useful upgrade if you want to pick up your front sight faster. The fiber optic insert is bright and easy to see, even in lower light, which makes a big difference for quick shots. Installing it isn’t hard, and once it’s on, it feels sturdy and dependable. It does get a little dusty or dirty if you’re outside a lot, but a quick wipe fixes that. Depending on the light, the glow can look a bit different, but overall it’s a clear improvement over stock sights and makes shooting feel more natural and confident.

Very bright even on a cloudy day.
This front site is bright. Even on a cloudy day it is bright and easy to see. OK, I installed this on my Walther PD380. It was not exactly a direct replacement for the stock front site. Walther uses a counter sunk screw and it is too long for this site as it will impact on the fiber. So, I purchased a screw from Ebay and filed it down so that it securely holds the site but does not impact the fiber. This is not a ding on the site. HiViz does not indicate it is for the PD380 (but the PD380 does use Glock style sites. This site is aligns well with the notch of the stock rear site. There is enough daylight to each site of the front site. Site alignment really is easy. Pick up of the green dot is super fast. Once I take the PD380 to range I will update this review on the durability and stability and perhaps give a 5 star.

Has red and green tubes.
Great sight upgrade. Highly visible, especially when I changed out to the red tube. I have this brand on another pistol of mine and love it too.

Easy to install and works great
I used this sight to replace an older fiber optic sight that was hard to see in low light. This sight worked much better and was easy to see in low light. You will need a Glock front sight tool to replace the current front sight on a Glock.

Okay, but not overly impressive.
Let me start by saying that, in spite of the laundry list of complaints that will follow, this isn't really a "bad" front sight. It's just not as good as I would have hoped. First off, this sight requires minor fitting (or at least mine did). I had to use a needle file to narrow the portion that is inserted into the hole at the top of the slide. Nothing major, just a little inconvenient. So be prepared for that. The nut that comes with this thing is cheap. When placed side-by-side with the original OEM nut, it's actually laughable. The threaded portion is less than half the length. Unfortunately, it has to be that way due to the light tube; i.e. there's not enough physical material to screw a longer nut into (though one wonders why a shorter light tube couldn't have been used with a full-length nut). The hex head portion of the nut is also about half as thick as the OEM part, and that's ridiculous when you're trying to tighten it down. The fiber optic certainly does its job, making the front sight stand out much more prominently than the standard OEM sight, but I've noticed a "quirk". If you rotate your pistol and hold it in a horizontal position like a gangsta wannabe, the light tube increases in brightness. Rotate it back into a normal person's alignment and the light tube dims a little bit. This tells me that the majority of light is entering the tube from the sides; when the pistol is horizontal, the sides are facing the overhead lighting; when the pistol is vertical, the light tube is partially blocked by the top metal. So there's the Catch-22 for this product: the top metal is supposed to reinforce the sight and protect the light tube better than other fiber optic sights do, but at the same time it restricts the light entering the tube. That's kind of a bummer. This front sight is too wide (IMO). It fills up the entire width of the rear sight notch, so that you have no "white space" on either side of the front sight as you're aligning the sights. The light tube itself centers nicely, but not the front sight as a whole. This is the biggest detriment of all (again, IMO). The light tube is supposed to draw your eye to the front sight, but the light tube shouldn't be the point of focus (the top edge of the front sight is). With no "white space" on either side of the front sight, alignment becomes more difficult. Thus, I personally would not recommend this sight to be installed on a pistol you intend to use as a defensive weapon. Your opinion may vary... use whatever you feel most comfortable with. The sight comes with three inserts... a red & green light tube and an opaque (non-fiber optic) white tube--plus an installation & removal tool which also doubles as storage space for the two unused tubes that aren't on the pistol. As I implied earlier, I don't hate this sight. It's alright. However, I think with a little more effort you can probably find something better. By the way, for the record, I'm not using this sight with the standard OEM rear sight. I installed an LPA adjustable rear sight to go along with this.

You need the Glock front site tool for the tiny screw
About the used one that said package was like new, somebody bought the wrong one. The package was shredded, but it did fit my Glock. In fact, it fit perfectly. I put a drop of lock tide on it. You’ll need the Glock nut driver to take that tiny screw out of the front site, but it took about five minutes to swap and I can see a high viz one so much better!! I do recommend this. The site is made of steel comes with three color fiber optic inserts.
