Amazing knife
To put it shortly this is a giant version of the Opinel #8, it just magnifies the outstanding features of the Opinel line of products. It could also be described as a machete because of its imposing size, it can be folded and comes with the usual very secure Opinel locking ring. It is indeed a little expensive ($160 if I remember well) but it is worth it because it will last forever so I bought two of them. The fact that it is made out of inox helps you keep the maintenance to a minimum and the sharpening process is very easy.

Bigger is Better!
This is stupid big, in all seriousness! It’s just perfect for anyone impressed with knives. I can’t think of anything negative whatsoever! I couldn’t be more delighted in this purchase and firmly believe “if 1 is good, 2 are better!” I’m getting another, before the price goes up!

Razor sharp and gigantic size. Great to use as a folding butchers knife.

Better than I imagined.
This is a very nice knife, I’m very happy with my purchase. This is an extra large Opinel but it has a better wood handle with better finish than regular Opinel knives. The blade is thicker than regular Opinel knives. This is better than I imagined.

Same high quality as all Opinel products
The knife is so large it is almost comical but still features the same high quality that I was expecting. The lock is a bit stiff and not quite as easy to use but it does securely lock the blade.

It’s a big knife, good edge, locks well but the handle was a little blocky

Outstanding large folding knife at an excellent price. Quality crafted by a European company that has specialized in high quality knives for decades. Extremely sharpe, with a built in safety feature. Perfect for camping or wilderness backpacking.

Arrived timely, brand new, no complaints!
#13 is a joke, a monster, or amazing depending on how you look at it. Perfectly functional and incredibly sharp, I used it to cut up watermelons at a picnic. Do NOT lend it out! I have a chip in the blade that I have to get out because other people won't appreciate your tools (they cut aluminum trays with it). Mine came w/ the collar a bit tight, and the wood making the joint a bit "sticky", but there's plenty of ways to fix those from online instructions.
