awesome, life saver
this product is amazing.Pros: definitely stops the itch, cooling feeling, quick dry, easy to use, life saver, good for sensitive skin.Cons: tricky to get the clear extension tube attached to the spray nozzle (especially with a broken hand, really need two hands to connect it) as others have mentioned.Other notes:- it does provide some momentary moisture which is technically against the casting rules, but it dries very quickly/the cast cotton tends to absorb it fine without impacting the fiberglass material.- leaves a light power residue which was a bit odd to see during the cast removal, so would recommend using a long itching stick to clear out the residue every now and then to prevent residue build-up.- i have EXTREMELY sensitive skin but this product worked extremely well and would recommend/gift it to anyone that is newly placed in a cast.

Awesome
This stuff is awesome. My daughter broke her hand and was hard casted for 3 weeks. As a dancer she sweats a lot but we would do this every night. Not any complaints of itch and it deodorizes great. Her arm wasn’t smelly at all when they took her cast off today. Completely recommend.

Pretty Great
This is a great product. It has kept down odor while providing relief. The only problem is that the straw doesn't really fit into the nozzle so you really have to force it.

Just do it
After about a week, I was unbearably itchy under my leg splint post-op. My hairs were growing and so irritated. This stuff really helped save my sanity before I got my boot. I would recommend getting this BEFORE SURGERY! It leaves a white cast but other than that, no funky smell or moisture in my splint when I got it off a couple weeks later.

Basically just aerosolized talc with cat pee and gasoline
This is not worth the price. It’s essentially just athletes foot spray with a straw. Maybe $15/can might be worth it, but I feel they’re marking it up because it claims to be “special cast spray”Honestly, the scratcher we bought elsewhere that you can attach baby wipes to works far batter for cleaning and odor control. My son said it provided some itching and cooling relief, but it did nothing for odor. All that said, check the ingredients. Do you really wanna be spraying a bunch of gasoline (ethanol), butane, propane, baking soda, and cat pee (urea) down a confined space like a cast and have those chemicals sit on your kids skin for weeks on end? I wish I would have read the ingredients first. After 4 weeks the can is still almost full.Would not recommend

Worked fine
My 10 year old son broke his wrist while snow skiing. While in a cast, his arm was rather itchy and uncomfortable. We used this product to spray all through his cast. It takes a little luck or a few tries to navigate the long thin tube through, but we were able to spray his upper and lower forearm each night until his cast was removed. He loved the feeling of it spraying. (Cooling and settling of the itch temporarily). The residual powder left behind also probably helped with itch. One can was more than enough for us to "treat" his arm each night for 2 weeks and still have plenty leftover for a neighbor with similar trouble. Definitely get the long spray tube. We would feed the tube in under his cast as far as possible, and then spray as we removed it slowly. Works just fine. Allow extra time for shipping due to pressured can. Happy Healing!

Great for spica cast
This spray was a life saver for us! My daughter was a couple moths shy from turning 2yrs old when she had to be put in a spica cast for 3 months and the first 2 weeks we had a lot of crying and no sleep, she would sweat and she would get itchy and there was really not much that we could do that would relieve the itchiness, we purchased the wand scratcher things and those were honestly no help at all and then I came across this product while trying to find something that would help my baby. I ordered this and tried it the first day and the relief she felt and I felt knowing this helped her was the best feeling ever! I read some reviews that stated the little straw thing was hard to insert however I found it fairly easy and if you get it really good in there it will not come off so easy. Do yourself a favor and purchase this if your a spica cast parent bc whew it’ll help!
