This was exactly what I needed.A few years ago, one of my train cars was damaged in a fall from a shelf display. One of the couplers was broken, although I completed the other repairs. I kept the broken coupler in a tiny box and placed in into the car. Then I found these couplers during a search for other train hobby supplies. Now my boxcar can be recoupled to the rest of the train again!Very easy to install a replacement with a small screwdriver.

These are plastic not as good as all metal, only about half the price.

I took off the old knuckle couplers and boy I regretted that. These are difficult to install. Took hours to do 4 of them. two trains, 3 hours. There's no trick to it, just constant retrying.

Product worked great. Had to replace several due to a grandson induced derailment.
