I never write reviews but if you are on the fence about trying this ball do it. I'm a long time Prov1x and ProV1 user and this is my new ball. I'm consistently longer off the driver and irons sometimes 10 yards. The flight is generally lower similar to the '17 ProV1 which I was using before. The best thing about this ball is the feel off irons especially and the way it behaves in the wind. This ball wants to go straight. I agree with other users that the AVX ball is not super spinny on the greens like the X and V1 but will hold the green really good on short irons. I was sticking and stopping the ball on approaches but not spinning them back. Once you adjust to a little roll out on chips instead of flying and spinning it really is a great ball. I highly recommend this ball especially if you'd like a little extra distance and feel.

I'm 70 years old and sadly now play off 24. Generally I buy a box of decent lake balls but after a tip from a friend decided to spash out on a box of thes new AVX golf balls. All I can say is WOW! Even for an old hacker like me these balls are brilliant. Lovely feel and with the lower flight I get an extra 15 to 20 yards plus a longer roll. The other hidden benefit is that at 4 quid a ball you try and hit them straighter!!

These balls are great if you have a low line drive shot. Wish they could fix my swing but have noticed a difference between these and other balls. Soft feel to them and low spin is noticeable.
