Percussion massage machines have helped me so much for a tiny fraction of the cost of an actual massage. This is so important for your mental and physical health and well being. It's value cannot be understated. We buy these just like 12 cup coffee makers. After our 3rd or 4th Wahl Percussion Massage Machine died (replaced each one once while under 3 year warranty) I decided to look for another brand.Keep in mind that these are not Heavy Duty machines and are not meant for long, daily massage work. Internal parts are often plastic, to keep costs low. So, they are built to a price. Consequently, don't expect them to last a long time. This particular model by Theraflow originally came with an enclosed card with a 6 month warranty. When I contacted the company and asked about that, mentioning that it seemed odd, as most other appliances offer at least a year and some even longer, she agreed to increase my warranty to 1 year. It looks like the listing now shows a 1 year "guarantee". Not sure why they didn't use the word "warranty", but it's likely the same.My wife works on my 62 year old body with this from time-to-time, as needed. She uses it with the more pointy Shiatsu head on High as my muscles are dense. This really gets in to "sticky" places, knots and thick, dense muscle tissue. It is very effective at removing stored tension in muscles from the back of the skull to the bottoms of my feet. She is not able to really press hard, so even moderate pressure brings amazing results. When I work on her, I use a Brush head at Low speed and low pressure. If you've never had this before, I can say without hesitation, GET IT! It will be life-changing! Hyperbole, you ask? Not for a second. This device, when properly used, can completely refresh, reenergize and restore, in minutes. With practice, your "personal masseuse", if you are lucky enough to have one, will learn where your body needs added attention. For example, a knotted muscle responds best to a small, circular motion. Shoulder blades respond best when guiding the head right next to the bones, following all the curves. Eventually, you will get the hang of it.This is best done while lying on a combination of bolsters and pillows so that your back is elevated and your arms drape down. If you've ever been on a massage table, you know that your arms can hang down. This changes the muscles in the back enough so that the massage is more effective. Since this is done at the end of our bed, after 1/2 of the body is done closest to the edge of the bed, I get up, we move the pillows/bolsters and proceed with the other half.Imagine you are on your hands and knees. Now, imagine enough pillows, rolled up blankets, etc. under your abdomen and chest to really support your weight and allow the arms to rest downward. That's it! From there, have your PM use the machine to wash away tension in the back of the skull (light pressure here), neck, shoulders, shoulder blades, upper back, mid back and low back. Use a horizontal, light to medium pressure across the low and mid back around the ribs. Avoid the spine! From there, go where needed. For me, waist, hips and especially glutes, including getting in deep (maximum pressure), from the sides. Hamstrings and especially just above the knees (all of this is the back of the body). Inner and outer calves, bottom of the feet and arches of the foot.Usually, that is the end of the massage. I feel like a veil has been lifted. Energy and sensations coursing through my body and I'm ready to sleep. I fall asleep almost immediately usually. If more is needed, you can do the front side of the body, carefully😉. Avoid the face, throat, and any bony part. Light pressure here at low speed is recommend. This unit by Theraflow is quite reasonably priced and you will not be disappointed.I would recommend it and would buy it again. If this review helped you in any way, please click the "Helpful" link. works good
no complaints really, although I did wrap electrical tape around the cord down where it attached to unit...someone else had mentioned it getting worn there, so was proactive in 'protecting' it a bit. Works great on my shoulders, neck, lower back/hips...easy to hold in various ways, and don't have to rely on someone else to massage these achy parts...low setting is really enough, higher is a real workout!

Works great. But the power cord lacks durability.
I've had this since April of 2019.The main body and function of the device endured. But the electrical cord isn't as durable.I've had to repair the cord several times, since the 2nd year. This time it broke so close to the top (where it goes into the massager) that I can't repair the cord again. It always breaks inside, within a few inches of the main body of the device; because that's where the cord is forced to bend the most.If they used stronger wires (or a detachable/replaceable cord), I'm sure this could be avoided. However, for the price, even if you only get 2 years out of it, it is still worth it.It works very well for reasonably-deep massage. It doesn't pack the punch that some jack-hammer (up and down) type devices can offer. But if you don't need to go very deep, this does what it needs to.If it wasn't for the cord issue, I'd buy it again.I did take off a star, however, for range and ease.It doesn't reach near my spine (unless someone else is holding it). It's also rather top-heavy. So it can be a strain on the wrist if you're reaching very far for very long. It's a good massager. I am glad I got it when I did. But I'll be trying something different this time.

Lasted 2 years w/ daily use on feet, was noisy but effective.
The deep tissue percussive massage is good and does what it claims to.I have had this massager for two years and have used it almost every day due to tendinitis in my feet. The problems with this item are:1. It became extremely loud after a few months of use. The loudness was not the normal noise of the unit because it increased a lot after a few months. If you are using it with anyone else in the house, it's enough to wake someone up in the next room.2. The cord crimped and then frayed where it attaches to the unit, just below the reinforcement. I ended up with bare electric wire and didn't realize it. It ended up throwing sparks while it was on my bed. I just had to throw the unit in the trash due to the cord. The unit I had prior to this was from Sharper Image, and quite a bit more expensive, but it lasted 10 years, was fairly quiet, and the cord was durable. This one lasted two years, which means the Sharper Image one came out to be less expensive per year. With this one coming in at under $25, it's not a bad value, but the cord issue was dangerous and the noise level was excessive.

Built to last. Not overheat like the others! Great Buy.
I truly adore this product. I’ve bought less expensive ones and more expensive ones. This one lasts. I have bought 3 for various family members and locations. If the manufacturer ever sees this just thank you so much for a quality product. If I could ask for one thing it would be to create a version without heat. Sometimes I need the vibration, not the heat so if you ever created that version then sign me up. I have plans to buy many. Overall love this. If you’ve tried others and they always overheat or kick off just when you’re getting a good massage going then this is the product for you. Genuinely. I’ve bought the $180, $100, $79, $59 pieced massages hoping each wouldn’t give me the same issues of overheating and quickly wearing out and they all did. Yet this very quality priced product lasts and lasts. Please note I’m writing this after owning this product for at least a year or more so it’s been through the test and even travel. I love it.
