Great sound but a bit “clunky”
I owned an earlier pair of Jam headphones as well as ear buds. The sound quality is always great and these are no exception. What I didn’t care for is the overall thickness and size of these headphones. Everything seems to be thicker and bulkier than it needs to be. The touch controls are a group of rubbery vinyl coated buttons that also seem to be overly big and a little cumbersome to push. There is little vinyl trap door that covers the usb charging port. It’s supposed to push into the charging port and become “invisible” but mine doesn’t close all the way in so I just cut it off and left the port exposed. All in all the sound quality is really good and for that these headphones were a bargain for what I paid. But overall design lacks. I guess I just like things thinner and more streamlined.

Great budget headphone!
I bought this one for $10 to substitute an old Jam Transit headphone (for which I paid $35). Audio quality is good, as I expected from a Jam product. Call audio is excellent both ways. I use it while working on my laptop and was able to flawlessly take calls without any complaint from the other person. However, it fits tight on my head and is a little uncomfortable. But for $10 or $20 is a steal!

it feels a bit cheap
quality is acceptable but it feels a bit cheap and plasticy! sound quality is good but bass is a bit too much and it's not perfect overall.

Immediate customer service
My wife and I were not familiar with the symbols shown on the instructions included with Been There Headphones so we called the customer service number and received fast, literate help that allowed us to sync the bluetooth to her iPad in one minute. They work wonderfully well and have proved a real bargain at $50. Highly recommended.

Decent Bluetooth Headphones
These are my third pair of Bluetooth headphones. They arrive in a good looking box and I found them easy to connect to my iPhone and I was up and running in just a few minutes,The fit is tight and many will find them uncomfortable. I find them uncomfortable when I first put them on, but they get a bit more acceptable the longer I wear them. They could use more cushion on the ear pads. I am 6'5 tall and they were able to extend to fit my head without being too tight against the top of my head. However, I have them completely extended. The controls are on the back of the right headphone and are large enough to reach without and issue. They don't have the fancy features of my Parrot Zik 2.0 headphones...like the ability to just move your finger up and down on the earpad to adjust volume or a neat app that allows for EQ. They aren't noise canceling, either. They are less than $50 and the Parrot's were $300, so these differences are expected. The sound signature over emphasizes boomy bass over accuracy. I think a lot of people prefer this approach, but I prefer a more subtle approach. That being said, I wanted these for working outside in the summer, walking pups, walking on the treadmill, and other activities where there IPX4 rating will be useful. The Bluetooth range is typical for this technology....the quoted 30 feet is about right, but I did notice an occasional drop out the farther I got away from my iPhone. One other upside to these headphones is that they work with the provided cable even when they are not on. Unlike my Parrot Zik headphones that also have this feature, these sound pretty decent in this mode. They still have decent bass, which was surprising after my prior experience with my $300 headphones, which sounded almost unlistenable in this configuration. All in all, these are a decent pair of budget, bluetooth headphones. They are slightly uncomfortable and the bass is a bit heavy for my tastes, but I don't plan to use them for critical listening. Just background music or podcasts while I am doing outside activities in the summer. For my needs, they do the job, but I am not in love with them. However, for less than $50 (where they are priced now), it is hard to complain when you take into account the sweat resistance.

Good value and sturdy enough for teens
These Been There, On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones by Jam are fairly compact and deliver a lot of bass. These headphones can be used via the included AUX cable or Bluetooth. They paired instantly over Bluetooth and I've had no issues at all with them losing connection. The headset is rechargeable via the included, microUSB charging cable (cable only - no a/c adapter) and Jam claims 14 hour battery life. I haven't tried to test that claim but it definitely lasts for at least 10 hours. The rigid band that goes over your head is covered in a thick, ballistic-type material and has a thin, dense foam padding on the underside. The ear pieces are heavily padded and completely covered with a soft, leatherette fabric. The ear pieces are fairly small - they do not cover your entire ear - so you can still hear some of what is going on around you but your music doesn't seem to leak out at all. We have large heads so these are not the most comfortable headphones I have ever used but they aren't too bad. You can adjust it a bit but not much. The controls are on the side of the ear cup and are raised so it's easy to use them. The charging port and AUX port are just below and have a tethered, rubberized, dust cover. The sound quality is quite good considering the price. It's heavy on the bass and a little tinny on the treble but still quite good and you can adjust that from the equalizer on your phone. They also work just fine for hands free calling and one nice feature is that they are IPX4, so they are sweat and rain resistant. Great for using while on the treadmill.I think they are a good value and are sturdy enough for teens.
