TORTURE FREE ANALOG CLOCK FOR THE BEDSIDE
For a while I have been looking for a small, easy to operate, easy to read at night clock for my bedroom. Tired of the digital madness caused by flashing read outs after a power failure, I decided analog was right for me and this small, compact alarm fills the bill. Pros: Small size so it fits easily on a night stand or can be moved where you need it. It could travel easily. It is easy to set time and alarm. It operates on one AA battery. It is quiet. It has a great nite light feature--you press the snooze button on top and it lights the entire face of the clock easily. In the dark the easily found button is a great feature. Cons: So far none in a week and a half of operation. This little clock (fits in the palm of your hand) is performing well and living up to my expectations as something easy to set and read the time. As a cranky old retired lady I don't need pulsing, digital displays to distract and frustrate me every time the fickle power decides to click off just long enough to inflict bright, red flashing torture at 9 million candle power. Forget water boarding...just put digital clocks in all terrorist prisons and break off the buttons and knobs that reset them. That should do it. Any way, save those precious minutes of retired life. Get yerself a frustration free time piece. Punch that snooze button...you're retired! And if you are still slaving away in the 9-5 world, make mornings easier with this little gem.UPDATE: February 7, 2018 I loved this petite, lighted alarm clock so much I ordered a second one for my desk by the computer to keep an eye on the time. Second one is a slightly different (but better for me) alarm button. Clock number one is keeping time and has an effective but pleasant alarm tone. I love it for the bedside with the lighted face (at the touch of a button). Soooooooo much better than my old, obnoxious BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ from the digital alarms of my fractured, analog-loving past. :)

Basic, compact, and easy to read
Moderately small, basic mechanical analog clock that works for a low price. The time and alarm setting are very readable from a distance or in dim light, but the sweep second hand is yellow and harder to see against the white clock face. Like any old-school mechanical clock, the alarm does not recognize am vs. pm (setting the alarm for 8:00 will cause the alarm to go off at 8:00 am or 8:00 pm, whichever comes first). It is plastic, but seems relatively solidly built, not flimsy or cheap.

It Works! Imagine That
First, it keeps time very well. Have not needed to adjust the time after many months of use. Second, it is made for people like me who find a flip top phone almost too complicated. Set the alarm time, swith to "on". That's it. the Alarm will not ruin your day. Loud enough but not too loud. Lastly, push the button on the top to light up the face of this perfect little clock and alarm. Five stars.

Nice Priced Clock, But Not Totally Quiet As Described!
I purchased this to replace a silent Seiko travel alarm clock that worked for over 30yrs. It was purchased in Tokyo and it traveled to over 50 countries in a suitcase for many years and without doubt handled very rough by the various airlines it’s traveled on. The Seiko had seen nearly every country in the world. It was used pretty consistently and never missed a beat. It finally decided to stop working about 8 months ago. It was sort of sad as it was like a dear friend and a travel companion. Yes,I know it’s just a clock, but it lived a long and well traveled life. It was still silent and the alarm was exactly the right volume and pitch. It was also something familiar that greeted me every morning no matter what Country I was in.This Peakeep Travel Alarm Clock is surprisingly a fair replacement for the Seiko, and for the price it does exactly what I need now that I don’t travel extensively for work like I use to, it’s a pleasant alarm clock that wakes me up with a similar sound and acceptable volume level as my old travel clock. It’s more of a stationary clock and it’s been very accurate and it does its job. I have noticed that there is a slight ticking noise, hopefully it will not get louder as other travel alarm clocks have done that I’ve purchased and given to charity or returned if they where expensive. The only reason I’m giving this clock 4 stars is that the description claims that this clock is completely silent. It isn’t completely silent, but it’s silent enough that it doesn’t keep me from falling asleep. I just hope it doesn’t continue to get louder over time. I suspect it most likely will because it was initially completely silent when I first started using this clock. At this point if it dies after the 4 months of usage I’ve put on this clock, it’s been great for what I need a bedside travel clock for now, an alarm clock. It’s been very accurate and one feature I really like about this clock is that the alarm gets gradually louder. It’s just enough to wake me up without startling me when I need to get up at a specific time in the morning. I’m not a morning person anyway, so I hate to be startled awake! All that does is make me start out my day feeling irritated. Unlike other brands I’ve tried, including Seiko, it doesn’t just start making that extremely loud and terribly high pitched electronic beeping sound that most clocks now do. I like that the first beeping sound is really low and it’s just enough to wake me up every time I set it before it gets progressively louder.Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this product as it is was a very cheap replacement to a great old travel alarm that I will miss! I’m actually looking for someone to repair my old Seiko, but so far every clock repair shop I’ve taken it too says, “ This thing is 30 years old, it’s probably going to cost you a small fortune to have it repaired.” But it’s a nice clock and it still works, it just hangs up and the second hand kind of rocks back and forth and stops keeping time. I removed the cover to see if the second hand was bent, but everything seems in line. It’s just an old clock. It’s solid built and probably a collectors item as I paid $30.00 USD for it over 35 years ago in a jewelry shop in Japan. That was half the asking price as it was a returned item. The main reason I initially purchased this clock is that the description says it’s silent, but I have noticed I can hear it more now than when I first started using it. For some reason, a clock ticking in a room makes it very hard for me to get to sleep. It’s just something that I have had to deal with. Everyone is different and this just drives me crazy. So as long as this one doesn’t get louder with age, it should be a good alarm clock on days I have to get up at a certian time. Time will tell!

Quiet operation and compact little clock.
Compact and quiet. No noise as it keeps time and the alarm starts off more quietly and grows louder the longer it sounds off. Well worth the money for a nice little clock
