same info available better elsewhere
As I was preparing to go to the Bahamas I bought a ton of books: explorer charts, exhuma guide, and the great book of anchorages. The waterway guide is the only one I would not recommend. The Explorer chart books contain basically the same information, but in a far more usable form. Save your money And skip the waterway guide.

A Real Eye Opener!
This book was a real eye opener if you are planning on your 1st trip to the Bahamas (especially if single handed). The info on medical emergencies was scary....2 hospitals in the Bahamas!....most of the islands have a Part Time nurse! And if you need a Medivac, you have to PRE PAY which could cost thousands of dollars!Boy, I'm thinking twice about visiting the Bahamas single handed!Other than that, if you still decide to go, the other info is truly amazing and I think you will find it hard pressed to find a better guide to the Bahamas.
