Contigo West Loop Stainless Steel Vacuum-Insulated Travel Mug with Spill-Proof Lid, 16 Ounces, Earl Grey

I have been purchasing these to-go cups since 2012. They are hands down the best design I have ever used, and I've tried a lot of different brands, including the very expensive Yeti's, but these beat them all. Yes, they are a little harder to keep clean, but if you keep on top of it like I do, it's actually pretty easy. I simply remove the cap and open the sealing mechanism, spray some dishwashing liquid int the cap and then spray the hottest water I can get from my kitchen faucet while holding the button down to clean it out. Then I toss it into the dishwasher with the mechanism open and it comes out clean every time. The key is to not let it sit with sugar coffee in it overnight or for long periods of time.I bought a brand new very expensive pickup truck in 2012. I was getting ready to leave for work early in the morning and set the coffee mug on my center console. When I took off down the road, the mug went flying into the back on the floor, and of course my first thought was 'Oh' XXXX' I just ruined my new truck's carpet. I immediately pulled over and then reached back to grab the cup thinking the worst. To my happy surprise, not one drop had spilled from the cup, so these have been my Go-To coffee mug ever since and will continue to be unless their quality really goes to hell. I do like my Yeti's and RTIC's for cold drinks at home, but for a hot coffee travel mug these are the best hands down.

I've been using these West Loop 20 oz mugs for many years. I love it because they keep my coffee HOT.When I was single I used a purple mug but my wife ended up scrubbing the paint off in no time so now I only get the stainless steel unpainted.My wife over-tightens the lid and scrubs the hell out of them so the lids and seals wear out. I never had that problem when I was doing my own dishes and coffee making.If you get one, don't let someone else wash it or fill it. They might ruin a perfect product with some unnecessary attention.

This is my favorite cup…I had the exact same one only in purple that I had been using every day for seven years…anyway I lost it and was so devastated without it that I ordered this pretty blue one…the very day it arrived my husband found my other one 🤣 I’m totally ok with having two though! I love that I can throw it in my bag and it’s never leaked at all and is easy to clean ( read directions as how to clean lid…I didn’t and it took me a while to realize the mechanized piece pops open)

Excellent quality. Very well insulated - I like my coffee HOT, and this one does the trick! With a screw-on lid, a push button to control flow, and an air vent that only opens when the button is pushed, it 100% does not spill. Fits in car and pickup cup holders without being awkward or top-heavy. Whoever engineered this cup needs a serious pay raise! If I forced myself to find the tiniest problem, it’s a little too tall to fit in my Keurig coffee maker - but even that is subjective depending on your machine.

It looks tall and a little goofy-looking, but it is needed in the design. It has a small base to fit in standard cup holders and a slim neck for comfort when carrying/holding. It keeps my coffee warmer and longer than the 2.0.Easier to clean than 2.0.The top fit is made well and is secure.Made well.

I really like the size and function of this spill proof mug. Item arrived in padded, cardboard packaging. Arrived in perfect condition.The lid is easy to twist on and off. It is easy to clean with easy open lid mechanism and bottle brush. No leaks or drips have happened. Have only used for coffee so unsure how long it keeps drinks cold but it doesn't keep coffee hot very long. It definitely does not keep beverages hot for 7 hours.It is important to open the seal away from face and allow to release pressure before drinking when using hot liquids. The instructions do mention doing this. The outside does not get hot to the touch.The contour of the mug fits nice in the hand and allows for easy use of the release button with one hand. Locking the release button is done with a button on top of the lid. The lock button is a little stiff to flip up and down but that ensures it is not accidentally unlocked.Overall this is the perfect mug for me. I do not mind it not keeping the contents hot for 7 hours. I purchased this to use for coffee only and I am very satisfied with all aspects of this mug. It does have a limited lifetime warranty for manufacturer defects but not normal wear and tear. You can register your mug at Contigo's website quick and easy.

Purchased this version to replace a similar Contigo Coffee Mug, where the locking feature in the lid broke. This version has a much better locking feature which by its location is less likely to break. It maintains the temperature of the coffee for hours, easy to hold, and to clean, making it well worth its cost. Definitely recommend this coffee mug.

I've been using this black thermos from Contigo for weeks and the truth is that it has exceeded my expectations. Its elegant and minimalist design makes it perfect for both the office and to carry in the backpack. But what surprised me the most was his ability to keep the coffee hot for hours (literally, more than 5) without losing temperature.The AUTOSEAL closure system is a wonder: it prevents any spill even if you carry it on your head, and it can be easily opened with one hand, ideal for when you are driving or walking. In addition, the material feels resistant and of good quality.The only thing I would consider improving is the size, which could be a little big for some car cup holders, but otherwise, 10/10!
