Helps my cats with their health
I mix this with their food. That's the only way I can get them to eat it. They sneeze a lot less then they used to. And it helps with their gut health. They don't fart as often as they used to. I missed a couple of days because I ran out. And the farting started again. Also the sneezing. I recommend this if your cat is having issues. Their coat is really shiny too.

Works well and cat will actually eat it
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Seems to work consistently. My cat will eat them reliably and lesions generally clear shortly thereafter.

Had to squish them
My cat did not like them. She eats everything (orange),but she would not eat these unless we smushed them.

Not for picky cats
Only one cat will eat these but at least it’s the one that needs them! Overall happy with this

I think my cats compared to them to poop in their Kitty box
At first my cats were very interested in them. They would pick them up and then drop them. So I broke them into pieces. Then they would pick the pieces up and drop them. So I would hold them pieces in my hand under their nose. I got tired of holding them in my hand so I put them on the floor again. That's when they started trying to cover them with things, you know like they try to cover their poop in their Kitty box, with the scratching. Well that's what they were trying to do with these treats they were trying to cover them up.Update: this morning one of the kittens was pawing at the bag, so I took out one and broke it in half. I gave them one half of it and them. After a little bit of struggle, they ate it. So I gave them the other half, and he ate it. So maybe they just weren't sure what to do with it when they first got it. We shall see if it gets better. We'll update if there are any changes.

Formula Changed. My Cat Hates It Now
I have been feeding this to my cat for the last 10 years. I give it to him occasionally so a large bag lasts me a long time. Checking back in my order history I last ordered this in April 2022. I just ordered it again in February 2024 and the formula has definitely changed since my last order. As soon as I opened the bag I could tell a difference. Previously the chews were darker in color, more dense, there was a consistent shape to them, and there was a definite smell to them that I thought was close to fishy. This latest batch I received was lighter in color, inconsistently shaped, softer, and there wasn't much of a smell and the smell it did have smelled like peanut butter to me. I already knew what was going to happen but since I paid for the large bag I threw a chew down to the ground expecting my cat to pounce on it like he usually does. He pounced on it alright but then did like a double-take and sniffed it and then said heck no and walked away. I then picked up the chew and tossed it across the floor which is usually enough to get him to chase and then eat a treat. He did start to each the chew this time but then spit it back out after only chewing it a few times. That was all I needed to know and it would be a waste of time for me to try any further with this. I have regulated this bag to the stray cat I feed so hopefully he will eat it. I am sad because this is yet another instance a manufacturer changes a formula and now my cat hates the product. Now I need to try to find a replacement which is not easy with stubborn cats. As I am sure a lot of people are familiar with, this is going to be an expensive trial-and-error process until I find a replacement product.

helping with my kitten's eye herpes
I have five cats and at least three of them have eye herpes. One of them is a 10.5-month-old rescued kitten I got last month. I am fairly certain he had eye herpes before I brought him home, but at any rate, there is a bit of kitty stress in my household right now as he integrates himself, so one of my other eye herpes cats may have been shedding the virus and infected him. Thankfully, he does not have ulcers, but he has clear eye discharge and sometimes sneezes. So I asked my vet about lysine options. Please note: this has chicken-based flavoring in it so it will not work for cats with chicken allergies and/or inflammatory bowel disease. (If you have a cat like that, your best bet is buying lysine tablets for humans and crushing them, then suspending them in liquid, drawing up in a syringe, and administering that way. Human lysine tablets are a bit too big for a cat to swallow.) If your cat is able to have most treats and such, these chews are a far better (as in, more pleasant for the cat and easier to administer) option.Anyway, the herpes virus requires a lot of the amino acid arginine (which has a long carbon side chain and a positively-charged nitrogen-containing group on the end) for replication. Giving lysine (which also has a long carbon side chain and a different positively-charged nitrogen-containing group on the end) in large amounts means lysine is taken up more by the cell machinery producing viral proteins. Only, when lysine is incorporated into viral proteins in place of arginine, the proteins don't fold properly and don't function as well (or at all). (This is true for human herpesviruses as well, so if you tend to get cold sores, take lysine tablets. It is an amino acid that you would need anyway. Just follow dosing instructions on the bottle.)So, in order to get my kitten's eye herpes under control before he starts scratching at his eyes or something, I am giving him this. He's been on it for a few days and it seems to be helping. He has less eye discharge and I haven't heard the sneezing for awhile. He's also not scratching at his eyes. He's still skittish so I just throw a treat or two on the floor in the morning before feeding him. I do this when he's hungry so I know he will eat these. He likes them and doesn't have much trouble chewing/eating them. (They're what I would call "semi-moist." They don't have a strong smell.)These are not causing my kitten any digestive upsets, which of course I'm very happy about. The bag is resealable to preserve freshness. If your cat is walking around with one eye closed or you see the third eyelid covering a large portion of the eye, there is probably an ulcer. You will need to take your cat to the vet and get a fluorescein stain and some antibiotic drops or ointment. This product will not cure ulcers. (I've seen the extremes of cat eyes damaged by eye herpes and you do not want to go there. It is expensive and requires many trips to the veterinary ophthalmologist.) Ulcers must be treated quickly and appropriately. But if your cat just has some discharge and sneezing and you have reason to believe s/he has eye herpes, these treats can help.Anyway, I'm very happy that these are working. Nice to know I can get them from Amazon if my cats have issues in the future.
