A Basic Foil Companion

I took an introductory set of lessons at a fencing club then decided to join. I purchased this book just before I joined the fencing club. It does an excellent job of explaining the basics of the sport in the first few chapters then moves on to the more technical details in Chapter 17. If you are a beginning fencer, this is a great source to supplement your lessons. It provides more than enough information for a beginner IMHO. It also lists websites that offer more information about the sport. Very well written and to the point, I would HIGHLY recommend this book!

Good for beginning Foil Fencing.

Really basic, good intro for a new fencer.

This book is everything I had hoped and expected it would be and is an excellent addition to my library. It has filled a need for basic information and will now allow me to pursue my interests in acquiring skill with the foil at the beginner level.

Great book and over view for the beginning fencer. Good ideas and helpful information. I am a fencing coach and I really e joyed it.
