The Silent Blade: The Legend of Drizzt Mass Market Paperback – February 3, 2009

Another great book in my favorite series looking forward to the next one. His fights are looking watching a movie

It's the Drizzt story and there's nothing better. I've never liked reading books until I picked up these series. I can put myself into everyone of the character's places. I've been through so much in such a short time in my life. These books have helped me guide myself and how to guide my life by morals that are larger than myself. Instead of hurting people I do my best to help all but, there are those that you can't help and you can't hold yourself responsible. Love these books and really wish someone would take this on as a huge movie production with several following movies. If they can do it for race cars like fast and furious then this should be a no brainer!

Not great but much better than what a simple “good” rating would convey. The story is incapable of being considered standalone, and though Salvatore is generally quite capable of creating separately delineated story arcs, and as such a reader must have read enough of the saga before arriving here. Though this may come across as a surprise, given that this is the 11th book in the saga, most story arcs can be tackled separately. Alas, such a power is lost here.There is significantly more dialogue and intelligent thought put into this novel. In doing so one is able to see the puppeteers movements; even if they are unable to see the fingers moving.+ intrigue, plot, and an epic conclusion- silly plot deviations that would otherwise make a story airtight.

Over the years I have tried to read all the Drizz’t books to no avail. I’m trying again and found this book to be a satisfactory read.

I really enjoyed this book in the series of Drizzt. I read the first three books a long time ago in high school. I've always wanted to read all of them, and now in my old age I'm going to finish them all!

While every book in the series is amazing and wonderful, this book brings to light something that has needed settled for quite some time. The ending scene alone is worth reading all the books up till this one.

Book 1 of the Legend of Drizzt series, Homeland, was a hard read at first with the long complicate names but once I got past that I really liked it and decided to keep reading. I've now read 25+ books from RA Salvatore and would recommend all Legend of Drizzt, Hunters Blade, Transitions, and Neverwinter books as great fantasy reads. Salvatore has such great character development and interesting new adventures that make you want to keep reading. There is a fair amount of fighting, if you're not into that I'd still recommend these books, just read through those parts fast.

The Drizzt series begins its cyclic themes of complex antagonists, artifact possession, post traumatic stress disorder and the slow reveal of the dark elf ranger of Forgotten Realm’s past. A major character, Wulfgar the barbarian, was brought back from the dead in the previous volume. Salvatore uses skillful plotting to create suspense as the hero’s mission to destroy an infernal artifact is derailed by the skillful misdirection of the unlikely anti-hero Jarlaxle Baenre. Also, the author begins to create conflicts within the core group of adventurers so their friendship evolves as much as they battle wizards and monsters.

And so the saga of Drizzt continues.These are some of best sci fi fantasy books I have read in a long time... May they continue

Tolle Geschichte alles gut gemacht

I enjoy the characters and their adventures. This series is one of the better written series I've read in my lifetime.... and I've read a lot of books

字が小さい笑。英語のペーパーバックのkindle版はたまに購入するのですが、これは本文ページを見て第一印象が「なんか、字、小さい」でした。特に目が悪いわけではないので普通に読む分には支障ありませんが、知らない単語を辞書で引くのに、スペルを確認し辛い。あと、ライブラリに表示されるのは商品ページと同じ新バージョンのカバーなのに、開くとなぜか旧バージョンになるという不可思議な現象が。というか、原文を味わうのも悪くはありませんがやっぱり日本語で読みたい、、、、、。

Love all the books regarding drizzt, never a dull moment and brings out the emotions occasionally. Highly recommend to anyone.
