They passed my personal unscientific cutting tests.
OK,So of course I first placed these gloves on the counter and tried to cut through them with multiple kitchen knives.I used my high quality Chicago Cutlery knives with freshly sharpened blades. Believe me, they were very very sharp. The gloves did not show any failures or cuts... they passed my unscientific test # one.I then pulled out 2 of my ultra sharp Santoku knives (large and small) and applied significant pressure across the gloves at multiple locations, angles and pressures. Again, the gloves passed my test. No failures in test # 2.Now, I decided to put the gloves on and try a couple of my knives again... I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS but of course I just HAD to try it to complete my testing process. I did not apply as much pressure as with the tests #1 and #2 but I used enough pressure to simulate an accidental slicing motion during cutting or cleaning of a knife. Same result... the gloves provided complete cut/slicing protection. Passed test # 3.So, I am sold on these gloves based on my personal unscientific (real-world) cutting tests. Based on my initial experience, they are comfortable, lightweight and effective. They are great to use alone or I could also see using these in winter as liners for regular or ski gloves if cut protection is needed.I would rate them 5 Stars if they put a label on or in the gloves noting the cut resistance rating.Again, I do NOT recommend or advocate conducting test # 3. This was my personal decision based on successful tests # 1 and # 2.Also, note that these gloves DO NOT provide stabbing protection so the tip of a blade will penetrate the glove.I will update my review if I notice any changes in quality during regular use of these gloves.Always exercise care and safety when using any knife or sharp object. You (the consumer) assume all risks of personal injury when using cutlery or any other sharp objects with or without safety gear/apparel.Thank you

Two high-fives: These are comfortable and protective
Got these to use with home projects involving power tools. I'm not about to test them on a circular saw or Dremel cutter, but I must say so far they are comfortable, not too sweaty, and they give a reasonable amount of sensitivity and dexterity so you don't feel like you are wearing mittens. I know they won't protect me fully against power tools; I just want that little bit of extra insurance against minor slip-ups. I'm pretty good with cooking knives so I don't wear them in the kitchen, but I couldn't resist testing them a bit with a good sharp knife. Seemed to put up quite a bit of resistance to the blade, so I'd say they do their job. Let's hope I never test them to their limits....

Protective gloves for Metalwork, offer a great comfy fit!
These gloves work great for my hobby of computer work. As far as size goes, my hands aren't very big, and I usually fit into Men's regular gloves with some wiggle room. These are more of a tighter fit than regular mens gloves sizes, so if you tend to fill up a normal mens winter gloves, these might be a bit tight to wear. I like to repair and modify desktops and laptop computers. With sensitive skin and dry hands during certain seasons, I tend to cut my hands more frequently. These gloves are very helpful when i work with my desktop computers because now i no longer get cut on the sides of the desktops and I can continue to work without any problems. Even when I use my dremel to cut up metal pieces for shaping and customizing, these gloves are very handy and prevent cuts. They make it very easy to work with metal, and I would recommend them to all who find themselves too often getting cuts from ordinary jobs!

My New Go-To Gloves for Processing
I process a lot of wild game and sometimes livestock. I bought these before the season and so far have processed three deer, breasted out four turkeys and butchered one bull bison. I really like how these gloves feel - they feel like gloves. And I am now pretty confident that they have saved my hands from at least a few cuts - for sure on the bison I ran a razor-sharp boning knife over my knuckles with some force and I was sure that it cut thru (you can hardly feel pain when your hands are deep into cold meat). But didn't even fray the glove. The gloves also provide a bit of warmth at first, before they get soggy. I love that you can wash them in the washing machine and just set them out to dry. These are my new go-to gloves for my processing needs.

Great Product!
These are great! I bought them to chop all the summer veggies without cutting my nails or fingers, but I discovered another use for them. I have a rescue dog that weighs about 18 pounds, and I have a real problem getting him to let me use my Dremel to shorten his nails. To make it worse, he has the fastest growing nails I have ever seen, and I cut them EVERY Wednesday and Sunday!!! He is a bad biter, so I thought these were worth a try. They absolutely kept him from breaking the skin, and even the bruising was kept to a minimum. I know that he isn't exactly right in the head, but I can't see any other way to do this. Anyway, I will definitely be using these every time I trim his nails again.

I first heard about Kevlar gloves when Alton Brown donned ...
I first heard about Kevlar gloves when Alton Brown donned a pair in lieu of using his mandoline guard and I knew I had to find a pair. I settled on this pair and received them promptly with Amazon Prime 2 day shipping. I haven't tried to intentionally inflict harm upon myself while wearing these gloves; they're cut resistant, not magical. That said, I did use them to cut green plantains on my v-slicer and I was able to slice each plantain down to nothing with ease due to the fact that my hands were protected from the blade. I wouldn't suggest intentionally trying to cut or stab through the fabric; as you could likely succeed with enough fortitude, but for hand protection while using a v-slicer/mandoline these gloves do the trick.
