Translation uses archaic English which spoils the reading experience
While I'm sure the content of the book is as good as everyone claims, my issue is with the translation. This book uses old archaic English presumably to conjure up a sense of ancient words. The problem is that is simply makes it a terrible chore to read. On every page you will see "thee", "thy", "doest", "doeth", "thine" etc etc. This isn't Shakespeare and I think it needs a modern translation that just uses standard English forms instead of the obsolete older forms. I get that this is a classic and the translation is trying to be faithful to the original. But the original was not written in English (as Shakespeare was) so there is no need to rely on archaic English.Give this a miss and find a modern translation instead.

One Star
I din['t realise it was a 19th century translation, complete with thou and thee. Hard to follow
